The Weihrauch HW 100X is now available at AoA! US enthusiasts have been waiting for this announcement and the gun is in stock in Arizona. HAM has one and you can see it here.
The “100X” is the latest version of the German manufacturer’s classic PCP air rifle. It was officially launched at the IWA OutdoorClassics show in Germany, back in March 2026. But HAM readers already had had a detailed sneak preview in our story of December 9, 2025.
The gun we have here is in .177 caliber and has a beautiful laminate, thumbhole stock. It’s a “full length” gun with 600 mm barrel and bonded moderator.
Why this configuration? Well HAM Tester Doug Rogers is an enthusiastic and successful Field Target competitor. He is really interested to see how this new model compares to his own, long-running HW100.
For optics, we mounted a Hawke Frontier 30 FFP 5-25 x 56 scope using Hawke Tactical Match Rings. The rig certainly looks good and would certainly have a sidewheel attached for serious Field Target action.
Overall length is 49 5/8-Inches and the weight of the scoped gun is 10 Lbs 9 Oz. Sure, it’s long, but there’s shorter length barrels available, should you prefer.
The action is traditional Weihrauch, with a 14-round rotary magazine of extreme simplicity and reliability. Two are supplied with the gun.
One change from previous models is the 3,625 PSI (250 bar) fill pressure for the HPA tube. This replaces the previous version which filled to a very conservative 2,900 PSI. The manufacturer specifies a greater shot count for the Weihrauch HW 100X as a result.
Otherwise the action is unchanged from the HW 100 model. Hey, why mess with success?
