We need more slug guns and pellet guns made to shoot slugs,, Better twist rate for slugs and no choke in the barrel, , I shoot pellet guns with pellets and I am super accurate,,,
I might get lucky with a slug that will shoot accurate, But I guarantee the slugs will lead the barrel in 10 shots or less,,, We need slug guns and pellet guns , One gun will not cut it,,,

About the choke....there are definitely air rifles that shoot slugs well with a choked barrel. Generally a light choke is preferable. I think soon enough there will be plenty of Slug guns out there. With Submoa barrels building them(AAA guns), FX (Panthera, Impact), Lothar Walther (Brk/Daystate) and CZ (Snipe) making Slug barrels. AV just came out with an ugly monster that should shoot slugs great... I know little about RTI but I know many models shoot slugs well. I have seen many other guns shoot slugs well. I'd say give barrel a good polish to help with less lead build-up, lube the slugs and your off to the races. Heck my Ghost shoots Mrds @ 975fps. She leaded up fast!!! After a good polish and lubing the pellets lightly in the tin it's mint.

If I want to shoot slugs it’s not with air. Slugs are pointless for me shooting 35 yards. Pellets are accurate, inexpensive and aren’t picky

Depends on what I'm shooting, but in 177/22 no need for slugs for this guy. I did get some to try with my Avenger 25 cal I picked up this weekend. The Texan definitely likes to be fed slugs.

No, they dont. If the slug fits the barrel correctly and you've prepped the barrel, its easy to get through a full box of slugs without fouling.

Slugs and pellets each have their place. For close range you can't beat pellets but if you want to push past say 75 yards slugs are a better pick as long as the twist rate is right for the length of the slug.

Haven’t had nor do anticipate having the slug itch so I’m good. I just like to keep air in its lane. Just me. No interest out past 100.

Well here’s my 2 cents. I have a tiapan vett 2 tac 25 cal and it shoots slugs very well @100 yds and ive shot several hundred through its unchoked cz barrel without cleaning and is still very accurate. The only thing i’ve done is clean when received and add 1/2 turn to hammer spring.
I also have a ghost with a 177, 28” barrel that will shoot 15 gr nsa @100 in an inch with light to no wind. I don’t clean this barrel often either and when i do i don’t get much.
I’ve had several custom barrels made by some prominent gun smiths, both choked and unchoked none of which shot very well.
Whats the difference? Can’t say but it seems to me to be more a matter of time and care than anything else and we’re in a state where few have either unless they get lucky in getting the first 1 right.
