Others Vintage Benjamin and Crosman Airguns

Last edited:
Is there any difference between the Benjamin and the Crosman? Nice pistols by the way. I HAVE A Crosman 111 and 112 that need TLC. Can't get the 112 apart, though.

Thank you. Yes, the differences between the Benjamin Rocket and Crosman 150 are in the way they are cocked and loaded. Plus the Rockets use 8 gram CO2 cartridges vs 12 gram for the Crosman 150s. The pistol grip frames are slightly different too, attaching points to the compression tube mainly. Other than that they handle and shoot similarly.

I have a 112 in great condition that needs seals. I'm hesitant to tear into it though because I've never worked on one before. Do you have the bulk fill adapter and CO2 canisters for your 111 and 112? I live in California and have to drive 60 miles round trip to get my CO2 tanks refilled!

I don't have the bulk fill set up yet, but I'm planning on getting an adapter that will fill these from the case of CO² carts I have lying around. I am into resealing Crosman Mark I and II pistols, so I have a pile of the CO² powerlets. I know the 111 needs resealed because I recently had a chuck of dry ice and I put a few pieces into the 111. It leaked from everywhere. The 112 is missing the outer brass cap, so I am assuming the front seal is dried up, too. I am interested in the 111 and 112 due to their longer barrel and adjustable power.

I need to get the 112 front check valve assembly off, but it is stuck on tight and the hole that is used to turn it was stripped out by the prior owner and is now the shape of an oval.

Try soaking the check valve in silicone oil for a couple days or weeks. That should loosen it up.

Yes, many vintage Crosman airguns were manhandled by folks that didn't respect them and didn't know what they were doing. I have a 130 from auction that was difficult to disassemble. The cup head attachment was slightly bent and was stuck, had to soak it before I could get it out. A previous owner must of bent it and forced it together?
