According to Dana and a few others, those 20.2 are lasers in both 15 and 18” varieties.i have a box of the NSA .217 24.8 gr slugs but really had no plan to get intto slugs.
so are the 20.2 better choise then the 24.8?

My advice is to steer clear of NSA for the Evol. I love NSA slugs and the brand, so I tried every weight that made sense, head sizes and tunes. Nothing worked past 50 yards.i have a box of the NSA .217 24.8 gr slugs but really had no plan to get intto slugs.

Dana is the only one I've seen them work for lol. I really wanted the 20.2s to be my slug but they just would not shoot. 23 grain were horrible and the 24.7 even in 217 head size were so tight going in I felt like they wouldn't get out the barrel...and in fact, I watched one TUMBLE out of my barrel at 80 yards.Interested in seeing a group with the 20.2 nsa or howler slugs. I heard it’s an absolute tack driver with those.
Yea, from the picture it looks like you have some keyholing. At 100 yards you'd be lucky to hit the box. Its not the slugs, its the slug match to the gun. For whatever reason our tj barrels do not tend to like nsa slugs. Other than Dana, who somehow gets his Evols to shoot 20.2s very well. I might be a little jealouswell i am first and formost very unipress with the NSA slugs.
these are the NSA .217 24.8 gr slugs.
at 50+ yards

here are the jsb 25.4 gr at the same 50 yards two magsView attachment 3570
I would say for your needs, yea pellets make the most sense definitely. Slugs are for longer range windy conditions hunting and pesting, it doesn't sound like that will be something you will need. A really good compromise are the jts 22.07 pellets, phenomenal pellet.i have some 23 gr zan's i might try but giving it some though i just cannt see a reason at this point for me to chase slugs.
i was accurecy first and formost upove all else and for pesting i want it at 20 to 50 yards.
i cant see the added cost of a slug when you can stack pellets.
maybe for bench rest at 100 yards i woud want to rethink things but i just cant see a benefit for pesting?
@Bladebum i was thinking about the rmr 22 hybrids but if they are no better then pellets what is the benefit?
are you asking about the EVOL?where did you get yours? I been waiting since last march!
Thank you, I just contacted them last week and they knew nothing. I am on the pre order list and was to be contacted when they are in stock.are you asking about the EVOL?

Will do, thank you and have a wonderful Christmas!i would contact Darren because when i called the see when or if they had shipped mine ( Darren said they had it in hand a day or two before ) the guy i spoke with said they did not have any in stock. i told him Darren had already told me they had mine and he looked at my acount and said oh yea i see.
