I've hoarded pellets so long, it will take me a bit to get through them all.

Yeah. That's way I have been with .22, 556, 300, 308, 9mm, 45 and 12 guage. . If house ever catches fire, the FD best stay way back. At least the pellets won't explode though....well, maybe the poppers will, but not like the rest.

That's a pleasant thought anyway. Methinks a certain country in Asia ls gonna get roughed up with tariffs shortly, even if just to bring them a little common sense and to the bargaining table.

No company is going to start making pellets stateside, regardless of tariffs. The start-up costs, material costs and environmental costs would far outweigh any benefit of bypassing the tariffs. Then there is the fact the US is the largest importer of lead in the world so even if they were manufactured here the base material would still be imported from some exporting country.

Would really love to hear more about your process, I was considering the same but have no idea how or where to get started.

NOE sells the molds. As long as you are casting pellets all you need is a lead melting pot, a laddle, and of course the mold. GTA has a forum that deals exclusively with casting. If you're going to cast slugs it gets a little more involved.

Not really, the US is still a top 10 producer of lead it is that our production is less than our usage.

I imagine AEA & JTS (made in China?) pellets will go up in price as you guys are hitting China with some harsh Tarrifs....but I'd side with @pan60 ...companies in the US need to step up and make some pellets! My country is still waiting to hear if we're getting slapped with Tarrifs as well....hopefully not! If our PM could get his $h!+ together....

Of course not, they would keep the basic cost differential and be forced to absorb greater per unit profit

It appears as if Columbia has been hit with a huge tariff for not playing along.
As all of us, I too am curious to see how this all plays out

Columbia complied and backed down, as I would guess most countries will...they have too much lose if they don't.

I didn’t realize that there wasn’t any USA pellets. I thought Crosman still was. Yikes. I did find one company but not sure if they are still going or not. I sent them an email. Waiting to see.
