well if the shorter barrel makes less power and a smaller tube holds less air if i am shooting the same pellet once i change to the shorter barrle seems likey there would be a loss somewhere unless i went to a light pellet and or slug? i use the 44g jsb pellets and will stay with those.
or am i totaly missing something?
my hopes would be that the loss was minimal and little would change?
but when i say the new vale i was talking about the new soon to come HPS gun and hoping with the improved valve i could get one in a 15 and still shoot what i am with no loss?
if i was to get one and the truth is i i do get one of the new HPS guns it will most likely be the new .223 and thats if i dont just get a barrel for my 15" EVOL .22?

Your thinking about it correctly it seems. They are both as efficient in terms of air use, there's just less air and barrel for use to have higher power (if that higher PFE is your goal). I'd get the new HPS in the new caliber and also keep the 30 cal; each has a place in whether you are hunting or target shooting. The new valve would be more efficient and will deliver air different in terms of dwell, so there can be tunes for shot count or tunes for power.

Either way the short barreled bigger bore 30's do come with some inherent faults in a poppet style of air delivery system that cannot be fully worked around by anyone. They can only run so efficiently or so hot before you waist air out of the bore and potentially wreck accuracy by blowing the projectile around when it leaves the muzzle. For example, both of my Evol's run nearly moa groups with unsorted pellets for a full magazine, and around 2 moa groups with about anything else I throw down the barrel, with no changes to the "tune". The shorter barrel just runs much slower and I have to be on top of careful ranging of the target past 50 yards because of the extra drop. When shooting at paper/steel targets, either one will put an accurate hole or mark on them, so speed and trajectory really is a non issue, only crosswind and holding for them.

Heck if you like the gun I don't see why not! I mean I put a $150 complete tune in my $150 springer.... It was that or sell it. What does blow my mind is that the first Video drop with a Sub Moa barrel was with the Edgun Leshiy...just not the gun that comes to my mind for long range pinpoint accuracy (bc it's a stocky, short, gun whose main usage would be with pellets inside75 yards imo) I'd think M3s, Pantheras, Crowns, Ghosts and DW, etc. Guns with some slug sending capabilities would be the ideal candidates.

That is what I was understanding. They are wanting to build up a stockpile before they pull an FX and drop a product that they don't have enough quantity of ..... lol

Lauren parsons had a 30 cal sub moa barrel in. Her ghost at pa cup benchrest. I heard there were others with sub moa barrels too but they were all pellet barrels.

My educated "guess" is they will focus on barrels for Ghost and Delta Wolf out of the gate.

1. BRK/Daystate has been promising a slug barrel for ~2 years and not delivered. People are getting tired of the they are "coming soon" response.

2. Sub-Moa is located right next to AoA (BRK & Daystate Distributor). I'd say that was likely planned for several reasons.

Hmmmm I got my first LW slug barrel to test about a year ago and have tested several So 2 years is pushing it They should be right around the corner and they shoot amazing

Here is a video about the Sub-MOA barrel in a Leshiy 2. I have yet another email into the company to see what the time line is. I have tried Tom multiple times and haven't heard back. Though I am assuming he is busy getting the barrels set up and done, so busy busy busy.

Lol been hearing that for a while, sling a few across the pond would ya .22 cal 700mm good for slugs from 21 to 34 grain.... It's all I ask Mrds are frustrating; one day just amazing the next somewhat ho-hum, other days heads up for fliers! (as some of you have experienced with em). And ZERO interest in a longer barrel to shoot....mo pellets. (Really Daystate?! I never understood that) Now the gun is longer, won't fit in the case, probably need a barrel clamp/harmonic dealee-o, and just costs more. Your a "tester" for that slug barrel @Soren Drost right? By that I mean if I was you next door neighbor could I go out and buy a slug barrel (in .177) as well?
