Others SLUG Video Challenge + $100 prizes

Correct you can even buy cell phone tripods at Walmart for under $20. Alternative you could plant a shovel into the ground and tape the phone to it. YouTube is a single click upload, so you can't get easier than that.

Cheers
I am all for what your trying to do but here is no way I am taping my iPhone to anything nor will I put gun related videos on my yoytube or other for reason I dont care to argue here.
in the event that we ever are able to post videos here on the forum I would as would other participate.
your YouTube is for what you do mine is dedicated to something that I do not want anytime of gun or shooting videos on.
this is your completion so its your way I am supportive but I am stating many will choose not to participate and cheater will cheat I persanlay do not beleave you need try to rule many that might would for the very few that as well might would cheat but that just my two cents.

I can just picture gooey sticky crap on my phone now LOL
just get the tripod folks : )
Haha.

On the note of YouTube, you can upload on a different Account, Rumble, or any video software. But I know you are opting out, just wanted to clarify that there is no YT specific requirements

Also you should see the things I've done to make videos before. I have a $3k camera, but I have definitely strapped my phone down with electricians tape on a half dozen occasions 🤣

Also the reason people didn't do it is because it was mostly cheat proof. I released statements on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube - the same places I am told consistently by individuals that 100yd is easy and they can do dime sizes all day with their avengers...nope, nope you can't.

Congratulations to everyone that participated, you all put yourselves out there and kicked ass. Jeffrey please send me an email to atlasairguns@gmail.com I have to figure out how to get you a check my man.

THANK YOU TRISTAN!!!

Congratulations to Jeffrey, to all the participants and particularly to Tristan for running this contest!

Yip, 100 Yards with an air rifle is very, very tough. In confirmation, it's worth noting that even the Extreme Benchrest 75-Yard card has never been cleaned, despite many of the world's best airgun shooters attempting to do so over 13 years of competition.

Congrats to Jeffrey for winning the challenge. Way to go man!

Congratulations Jeffrey.

The reason some of us didn't do it was because we didn't have 100 yards to do it. Anyone who has seen my videos knows I'm not cheating for those terrible scores. 😂

Absolutely a correct take. I have covered as media EBR now for 3 years, and score aggregation, especially back to back, shows the difficulties therein, and yes including slugs.

I do think the 100yd gold standard for benchrest could open up to 150yd with slugs, but the issue is two fold. 1st, where and when are you going to fit this event in? Events are already long enough in duration. 2nd, the disparity between those who could practice let alone shoot this event would be too unfair for contestants. With Extreme Big Bore being all slugs and the Action Amour Speed Scramble, things as they are seem about right. What do you guys think?

Yep, it amazes me some people are silly (or think we are silly) enough to try and claim their shooting is world class when they hold no titles. And expect us to believe they can do what title holders can't.

It cracks me up that some will ask us to believe something that is statistically about as likely as a lightening strike in a tunnel.

There are a lot more events going on other than what aoa puts on. We shoot a hp ft match with pellets or slugs and while there is no prize besides bragging rights it is a lot of fun! There are some good shots too!! I think there is small amount if big money shoots compared to local venues. If a guy could get some sponsorship for a 150 yd slug shoot to be able to offer say a $500–$400-300 prize for the shooters tell me you wouldn’t go especially if it were only a hr or two away? Oh and now that were getting some decent weather up here i still might post to this although i probably wont beat jeffery

Small events are the best for sure. I think 150yd distance could be done at this point with slugs, barrels, and shooters that are trained. I think it could be done, but I guess my worry would be contestants thinking it is too difficult or not showing up.

We had mini HAM challenges here and the lack of participation surprised me honestly (prize is bragging rights only). I participated in every one that I could as long as it was past 10Y, and my printer cooperated, lol. Getting time/space to shoot 100Y is difficult for me as it is for many Hamsters, I can't shoot that distance on my own property. My best 100Y group is my only 100Y attempt, 3.5 inches with pellets....which I was ok with 😆 Kudos to everyone who gave it a go!

we are not done with them.
weather and other things hamper it all.

Getting ready to build a ( Powermonger’s Long Ranger Challenge that would range from 200- 500 yards? 30 Cal and under due to the impact on the RX Target Systems can’t take to much impact. Targets would be 6x8” profiles. This will be a remote resetting same as what is being built for the standard RX target system I’m doing now. This will bring out the true Lone Ranger in you!!! lol
