Tec is correct but also 177 is easier to keep under 20 fpe with a 10.3 or 13.4 pellet. The trajectory is also better with 177 than 22.I’ve never shot FT nor am I familiar with the rules. Why do people use .177? Is .22 not allowed?
Surprisingly, the non-regulated version works just as well IMO. BTW, this version has a foster fill fitting.AoA has the 177 under the "specials" section for $1099.00 right now. I think it is the non regulated model. Both of the Reveres we own are regulated.

.177 has higher velocity and flatter shooting trajectory. Just look at the results of all the matches. Hardly anyone shoots .22.I’ve never shot FT nor am I familiar with the rules. Why do people use .177? Is .22 not allowed?
No one currently makes a 20 that would be really good for ft. Some guys do shoot 20 and as franklink has shown the 20 in the right gun can be a winner! There is a thread on here about exactly that trying to get brk to make 1.i am suprize there not more .20 cal
i gues the .20 have just never been that popular. out of my pump guns i liked the .20
i remeber that thread wasnt he using a ghost? or maybe i am thinking of a differnt thread. No one currently makes a 20 that would be really good for ft. Ya he got a 177 ghost for review from aoa and after spending time with it he had a friend make a 20 barrel for it and he has been shooting ft and some long range slug shooting with it potent gun!i remeber that thread wasnt he using a ghost? or maybe i am thinking of a differnt thread.
Knock em down and have fun! I'd be there with the .20 Ghost if I wasn't stuck at work todayWell the wife and I will be heading out to a local match at Rio Solando with our Reveres....Should be about 40 degrees by start time, but sunny. I haven't practiced kneeling or standing so it will be interesting. In March, the 2 day Sonoran Classic will be held, so at least I have some time to get in some kneeling and standing practice....
