I'm about 5 minutes away from pulling the pin on a new Hills Evo 310 pump.
No agents here in NZ, and the nearest one is in Australia...but their prices are dearer than buying from the UK.
So, does anyone know what that red oil is (in the crankcase)? Can it be bought normally in (say) a 1/2 gallon container?
I have found some red oil here but no idea yet about it's viscosity, etc. It is designed for air compressors though according to the online blurb. I will investigate that further but would be nice to know about the Hills oil viscosity, etc. Hills say it was a clear oil but they coloured it red to make it different to the silicon oil for the cylinder.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
