There’s no doubt that you and your rifle can shoot excellent groups. But, the average shooter doesn’t have a relationship with Daystate/BRK or AOA etc.. I’m absolutely not casting dispersions on you or your groups. But, aren’t you a barrel tester for DAYSTATE/BRK?My BlackWolf .177 HP will shoot pellets just fine in the 28” slug barrel

BRK/Daystate would have to be very naive, marketing wise to send a random gun to someone as talented as you that has very good exposure among shooters. I’m not a Daystate/BRK hater, I really enjoy their products.I am part of Daystate / BRK ASP and ART and I am the one who have been testing the .177 slug barrels in the Ghost, Delta, Alpha and Red Wolf
My BlackWolf came with the one 28” slug barrel fitted and thereby nothing special selected or pre tested at the factory - My rifle is just like ordered like everyone else would receive![]()
A Revere is a 30fpe gun in. 22. That makes it a 18grain pellet shooter.I will end my comments in this thread with this. While there is no written guarantee of accuracy written anywhere i know of by Daystate a 22 blackwolf in my mind should shoot at least as well as a 22 revere or this premiere manufacturer of airguns is not doing its job anymore.
but you would expect it to be shoot at least as good?A Revere is a 30fpe gun in. 22. That makes it a 18grain pellet shooter.
A Blackwolf HiLite in .22 is a nearly 90fpe gun.
Your comment is like saying that you're gonna be mad if your apples don't taste like oranges.
That's pretty broad.but you would expect it to be shoot at least as good?
I don’t subscribe to the “minute of animal” mentality either.I think hunters often tend to be a bit more liberal than dedicated target shooters. I see this close enough for a kill shot or that's a dead deer all the time and I think, wow that not so great, I would not want to settle for that to myself.
And you haven’t been shooting the gun with its stock barrel mr apples and orangesThat's pretty broad.
Shoot what as good?
What distance are we talking?
Is air consumption and noise and projectile cost a concern?
Are we interested in which one shoots a variety of projectiles better?
Are we using the ability to shoot slugs as a criteria for shooting good?
Etc.
They're just two very different beasts.
If I wanted a 50-60 yard pleasant experience with minimal tinkering and tuning and adjusting required....that's the Revere and 18 grain pellets.
If I wanted a 100 yard or more shooter with the possibility of shooting slugs and/or much greater adjustability and power potential and the ability easily attach accessories (and on and on)....Blackwolf.
Again, two very different beasts.
Not yet. Been in the plans since day 1. Being even longer than what I've been shooting, it'll only exacerbate the too much oomph issues. And you haven’t been shooting the gun with its stock barrel mr apples and oranges
Going all the way back to when I first joined the forums, I've been transparent in all my postings, whether its a personally purchased gun, or if it's a gun supplied by a manufacturer. If Im shooting a non OEM barrel or configuration, you know that.@Franklink I feel that a concession or at the very least an acknowledgment must be made for the fact that some manufacturers and dealers sponsor influencers. That could be anyone not just a prominent social media type, grass roots is also effective to showcase how great, how accurate and just how awesome
____fill in the blank____ Airgun is.
There are probably some manufacturer(s) or dealer(s) that do not feed the hype and are collateral damage, but I’m not going to lose any sleep over what is to me a problem that the “The Industry” manufacturers, distributors and dealers marketing strategies created for itself.
The rest of what you are saying I agree with.
I think that you should reread my post. It in no way was it worded as an accusation towards you or anyone specific.Going all the way back to when I first joined the forums, I've been transparent in all my postings, whether its a personally purchased gun, or if it's a gun supplied by a manufacturer. If Im shooting a non OEM barrel or configuration, you know that.
That's not typical influencer behavior.
I'm at a unique situation of: being capable of composing my thoughts "on paper", having the opportunity to shoot long range off my back porch, having a tendency to be meticulous, enjoying airguns immensely (even the troubleshooting), and last but not least, being willing to share all of that.
I don't do the reviews to gain "followers" or notoriety.
"Like, share, subscribe," isn't something you'll hear or see me say.
