Others Pathfinder XR… two groups at 50 yards

Sent these two, five shot groups today after a long day of chores around my property. Bipod front, fist as rear bag. I simply held dead on and let the wind do its thing to the pellets. CPHPs on left, JSB Exact Jumbo 18s on the right. Both groups covered by a dime. I am not a bench rest shooter. The gun can do better, me? Not so much… The bulk of my shooting is plinking and pesting where first round hits are the goal. The Pathfinder XR rarely disappoints.8

Thats where the Pathfinder XR shines best for me on pests and small game. One shot kills are the norm… I’m hitting, consistently wine corks from 25 to 64 yards. Which translates to high confidence pesting…

The Pathfinder is a bottle gun, the Atomic a smaller capacity, cyclinder gun.

The smaller Atomic handles better and though it offer less shots and power than the Pathfinder. It is quite capable, the Atomic can be hand pumped the Pathfinder?

got it, the Pathfinder is the bottle gun, yea i think i would like the Atomic better i have not warmed up to bottles but not rulling them out.
i have had my eye on one of those we the plinker packages but just cant justfify it at this time.

Nice shooting L.L.! May I ask what scope (mag specs) for your guns as well! I hope to get the ghost and primarily use for hunting @ similar yardage. Have been thinking a 16x scope would do nicely....

Currently shooting my second Atomic more because I’ve been testing my Arken Zulus for some nighttime pesting to come. Still digging on my Pathfinder though. For plinking sessions because of shot count, the Pathfinder, for small pests, either one will kill out to 50+ yards.

@Danman, I typically don’t take offhand shots at critters, but when I do my scopes are at their lowest magnification.

Its a lot of what you get used to and how steady you can be. Me i shoot offhand at ft @ 16 x
