This isn't and can't be conclusive at all, I didn't change my reg from 2400psi or my hammer spring setting. The reason being, that my gun shoots the FX Hybrids/RMR too accurately to mess with. I wanted to find the best companion pellet to my current tune and I have been waiting to try the new Zan's and the heavy AEA's. I finally had them all to test together this morning along with some JSB 50.1gr pellets and at the current tune the best pellet, clearly, was the JSB. At 53y the FX Hybrids and the JSB50s cut out a hole, the others do not, they open up well over an inch, totally unacceptable. This kind of surprised me for some reason. I think because how precise these pellets weights are, -didn't matter. I am really glad that I never wasted time sorting pellets. I know that with different settings any of these might shoot better but until I use up my RMR ammo the others stay on the shelf. The Hades also cut a single hole out at this distance, and they are hunting pellets. I am sure someone else with an Evol will figure out at what settings these projectiles shoot well at, but for now it won't be me.
I used a Carm SSL for testing and I was tethered. In case you were wondering, I alternated FX and RMR slugs to see if they shot the same, and they do. The finish looks different but that might be because the FX are less banged up going in better packaging. I am shooting these at 920fps. The br50's were doing about 915fps and the AEAs were just under 900fps. The JSB 50s were at 908fps. The only thing left for me to figure out is what to lube the slugs with. I still have to pull a patch through every couple magazines to keep the accuracy up, and it is annoying. Pellets don't have this problem. I am planning to try Pledge first, because it is easy to get and won't disappear off of the shelves any time soon, and see how that goes.
