Why JSB anymore ?

My local Wallyworld has them, but in store purchase was $15.97 the app is $12.97 ea.

Same, at $12.97 that is a decent deal on 250. I figure 1000 quality pellets for $50 seems pretty good.

The 18.3gr JSB, as much as I hate to give @Pumacarl more ammo, are shooting really well in the Marauder Gen 3 at 76yds. Sub-MOA. I will definitely buy more from Wally World to keep them on the shelf.

No way on earth Walmart Canada is stocking these....but on that note; I need to look into to this! I order engine oil from them for my shop, cant beat free delivery.
With minimal wind @Billm my S510 plunks the 18.13Jsb pellets into nice tight groups out to 75Yards! I saw no tangible benefit over the much more expensive 20gr lights, only mrds beat them for accuracy. I like options and I wish JTS & AEA well but Jsb rocks out of my springers and pcps. My .22 Ghost shoots ONLY heavy Jsb lead well, nothing else comes close.
The springers are both much less fussy overall.

To be fair to everyone in this thread, the only pellets that I have bought recently were those AEA .30 pellets, and my JSB shoot more accurately out of my gun. All of my other JSB pellets were bought years ago and they all look pretty good to me. Maybe the newer ones aren't that great, but it hasn't, and won't be, my problem for a while. I also bought some AEA 21.9gr(?) pellets to shoot in my 250z, but they would throw flyers, where as the JSB and Zan slugs didn't.

My whole thing with all of the new players, was, and still is, that when you start a brand new business with 100% new everything, everything is bound to look good for a while. The real test is how long are they going to go before swapping out dies, and anything else, that is needed to maintain consistency. Are they just in it to grab market share and quick cash, or the long haul? The long haul to me is 7 years. If their pellets are still number one at anything after that long then I will consider stockpiling them. I'm sitting on a good pile of JSB that shoot just great for me right now, because I saw that they were the best because they wanted to be, not because they just wanted to start a business to make money. That means something to me. AEA and JTS are made in countries that the populace can't even own guns and shoot. The only reason they exist is to make money, not because they wanted to have better ammo to shoot, like JSB (the founder) did. I'm not against anyone making money but I don't trust that reason to keep high quality going either. They are going to have to eventually walk a fine line between making a profit and putting money back into production, and how they handle that, will tell everything. I tried some of their products and they don't impress me now, so only time will tell if they can at least maintain or even possibly get better. JSB could certainly get worse, now that they will be pumping out product for Walmart, got to keep an eye out for that too. On the major plus side to me is H&N. They have been around for a long time and some of their products consistency totally blows me away. Their .22 heavy slugs shoot awesome, all of them. The Barracuda pellets always shoot well too, along with the FTT in .177. I think the reason JSB surpassed them for a while was their focus on soft pellets that worked in FX smooth twist barrels. I'd say that now, with the slugs, H&N slugs are better as a product line, than JSB. In an FX .22 anyway. There are quite a few standouts in JSB Knock Out slugs too, but you've got to find them.

This will be a great thread to come back to and read in a few years time.
