Marauder Benjamin Gen3 - It Just Works and Works Well

I had my first failure with the Benjamin Marauder Gen 3. My family put over 750 pellets through it over two days. I was standing next to my daughter watching her shoot her pumpkin. She was reloading ( we did all shooting with my single shot tray) and all of a sudden I saw something fly behind her and slam into the glass door with a loud bang. I found the side lever handle laying on the ground. Not a defect or a real failure. We should’ve noticed it had loosened up and didn’t. But, it’s had several thousand rounds through it. We screwed it back on and continued shooting without further issues. I’ll prob put some blue thread locker on it.

@Billm you had me worried something major happened! Glad it was only the bolt handle coming loose.
Add some thread locker and snug it up.

Good reminder to people to make sure all parts are snugged up.

I thought it had snapped off at first lol. No, nothing major just plain ole mechanics. I was getting on her for not pushing the lever all the way forward. I guess she was using plenty of force pulling it back lol.

Because the handle is ambidextrous, we don't use permanent thread locker from the factory. We want people to be able to swap the lever without a problem. The only downside is that the removeable thread locker can come loose with use.

I could see the thread locker residue. Hopefully readers of my post will realize that it’s not a criticism at all, just pointing out that it can loosen up and to check it once in awhile. I’ve been very honest about my experience with the Marauder Gen 3. I’m 100% happy with it. Are there some things that I don’t like sure, but nothing major and nothing to do with quality or accuracy. In general they’re ergonomic issues with how I use it.
