I decide to shoot some AEA .22 18.3gr pellets with my Air Venturi Alpha .22 Compact steel tube carbine at 51yds and 101 yds. I was using the DNT TNC225R digital scope. I was impressed. I didn’t change anything from when I was shooting the JSB Hades 15.89gr the other day. The point of impact was almost exactly the same at 51yds. I managed to shoot some really nice groups (for me) even with the wind. I didn’t change the ballistic table in the scope, it was still set at the hades with a BC of .0236. I calculated that BC using a Garmin placed at the muzzle and set for 100yds. I did the same for the AEA and came up with a BC of .0297. Using the built in hold over calculator and I was shooting the little spinners non-stop - without changing the BC. I was getting 530fps and 11.5 fpe at 100 yds. This is such a fun and capable little gun. Once again AEA does well.
