I’m game for whatever will work with the least pain.Bill, If the Eley software is similar to what ARA is using it may not work accurately for pellets? The ARA scanner software picks up hits by looking for the back ring around the hole, that rimfire bullets leave behind.
Have you considered adopting some simple rules like National 50 uses? It’s MUCH more simplistic than the 47,000 pages of rules that ARA imposes!

That’s a good idea, I decided not to score the card by hand until photographing it for the app. That way the opening would be more visible, not mashed closed from writing on the target.Try taking the picture when you have the target hanging on your stand, one thing I have figure out is that you the camera needs to be centered and level on the target, if you are at any type of an angle it will not score it right. once you take the picture and click on save it will give you the accuracy of the scoring, if it is a low percentage then click again and take another picture and check again, also I do not zoom in, the reason I say to score the target while hanging is that the bits of paper from the pellet going through have not had a chance to fold back in, and the best backer for the target is the plastic sign boards you see like for houses for sale, and in painted black or order in black.
This is what I order then cut in half:
Why not use the USARB rules? This thread will be for discussing the rules of our online benchrest competition. Right now there are no rules. My experience from organizing and running regional RC car racing tells me that rules are a double edged sword. If we start with too many rules we will deter inexperienced competitors from trying it out. The flip side is that without rules, a lot of more experienced shooters will be deterred. I suggest we keep it simple, make sure their system concept is fun and works and then hopefully let it grow from there. I’m hoping we can attract some new shooters to the awesome HAM community. Try not to follow my bad example of polluting the thread with other topics.

What did it score #2 as? It shouldn’t be a zero, it should be either a 5 or an 8 depending upon the rules. Probably a 5.I just made another practice target and there is a situation that occurred.
I was taking a sighter shot and a flyer occurred that dropped down into the number two target I had already completed several rows so I just continued.
The app would not let me enter a 0 for #2 target, it will only permit a modify of what is highlighted in red before you save the target. However, it still would not let me enter the zero.

It scored it as 8 and that was the original shot, but I don’t see any penalty. IDK, but to me regardless of circumstances two hits on a target should count as zero if all targets have been shot. What did it score #2 as? I’ve had some of my grandkids overnight and so I haven’t been able to post much. Plus I’m trying to curtail my excessive posting. But, I did do some testing. I shot one target and tried several m8nir changes in how I photographed it. It was pretty accurate. I also took some photos that show how it works. I will make some posts later.
N50 scores 2 or more shots within a box by taking the score of the lowest impact hole minus one point. If the lowest was an 8 then it’s 8 minus 1 = 7.It scored it as 8 and that was the original shot, but I don’t see any penalty.
