Benchrest Online Benchrest Competition Rules

That makes no sense that the shooter is not penalized for multiple shots within a single target?
Hopefully that explains my questioning. From my perspective I didn’t know if it was something subject to interpretation (maybe making of your own rules type of scenario as long as all participants agreed).

The rules vary by the governing body or host. None of the 100yd airgun benchrest competitions penalize you. They give you the highest score and nothing for the missed target. The .22 BR are all different. ELEY has chosen to give you a score for one of the hits and a 0 for the missed target. It highlights that the target may need Human intervention.

So that was a situation with one of the targets I didn’t actually miss one. It was a flyer from a sighter above the already completed target so I continued to complete the entire set of 25.

I had assumed there would be some sort of penalty regardless, but instead it gave me the highest available score.

Question(s):
So if we are?? following N50 rules, I should’ve manually changed the score to the lowest score & -1 point? or should I skip a target intentionally to give myself a zero? as the app will not allow you to change a low certainty score to a zero as I have found out.

I’m not sure. Is your target uploaded into one of the practice events?

I’m wondering if the referee can set it to zero. Personally I’m in favor of keeping it as simple as possible. I can almost guarantee that ELEY isn’t thinking N50 with their rules. N50 has less than 100 airgun shooters and under 300 when considering all of their classes.

Bill, At the recent 100BR at PAC they subtracted 10 points for every hole that exceeded the 25 scoring bulls.

  • Any shots over 25 in the target area will be a -10 penalty per additional shot on the total score.

Yes, I understand that, I was referring to hitting an adjacent target box, while missing the aimed at target box ( still maintaining a 25 shot total). But, from what I can see WRAF etc., just score the lower hit and add the -1 penalty for extra shots.
