Troy Hammer was doing trigger mod for folks, unless you prefer to diy. Involves some removal and polish, also fixes safety stick issue some were having I believe.Tracking says Wednesday
I hope they don't want the bad one back because I Cut .250 off the chamber to eliminate the bad area, and set the barrel back .250 then Lapped and polished the bore. It is much better but its still a rough bore. Polished the outside of barrel where the bolt rides.
Shot it this morning:
Bolt is much smoother.
Accuracy is better, nothing to brag about but atleast it groups instead of shotgun patterns.
The trigger is still about #9
If I can get the trigger to say #3, I think the groups would tighten up.
Best group was with lighter pellets

I sent him a PM on another site but he has not logged in since last month.Troy Hammer was doing trigger mod for folks, unless you prefer to diy. Involves some removal and polish, also fixes safety stick issue some were having I believe.
It's a great rifle and I'm still enjoying mine!Glad you were able to get it smoothed out enough for your liking. I still think the Timber was the best of the original trio. <1 lb trigger, no safety or rail issues, wide array of compatible magazines, plus I'm a sucker for a traditional wood and steel look.

I'll probably do this trigger as well.Yay, I'm glad it worked out! You going to swap triggers, or just do same job to this one?
That's some nice lands and grooves on that barrel! Looking good man.Got my replacement rifle today
So far this one is a whole bunch of better.
And customer service has been excellent.
Bore overall is much nicer and the crown looks good. The lead in is tight, I have to use a bit of thumb force to get the pellet all the way in.
Bore really coated with something brown, no its not rust. Used Hoppes #9 for cleaning it.
The bolt has much less slop and is much smoother. The power wheel is easy to turn.
The trigger is better, but still at just under #8
and a lot of slop.
Only fired one pellet to see if it went bang, it did.
Range report soon as I get a scope for it, something light, nothing over 12x.
