What a great wife!!!!!!!!!!!Wife ordered me the P force. I had told her about them last week, and wished I had gotten one 1st time to go with my P-Pup. My birthday is next week, so she went to Pinty and said "Happy Birthday".
I can only speak for my pair, but my Akela is a lot louder than my Pup. From the first shot outta the pup, and all since, I've never even considered getting a moderator for it.P-Pup was delivered today, only one day late. It looks great. I hope to fire a few rounds later today or tomorrow. No scope for awhile, just firing to check function. leaks, and how loud it is compered to my Akela. I might like this one better than the Akela.

It rained here most of the day. Still is. Blew out any target shooting. Hope tomorrow be better for you, and me too! That P-Pup feels like a million don't it? The comfort and weight is amazing compared to other wood and steel pups. Crap, even the synthetic stock ones I have.My Pup seems louder than my Akela. I know it is if I turn down the Akela. The Pup feels better; shorter, lighter, and the stock is more comfortable. Got to get a scope for it. Might order one tonight. Way too hot today to spend much time outside plinking.
Can you measure the width of your rail.. before you order scope with rings? Or just check em with another picatinny mount base? I don't have a clue if they actually replaced with the right width yet. Surely so anyway I would hope. That's why I went with the Pinty scope with they slightly oversized mount width. Knew that would take care of that problem right off.My Pup seems louder than my Akela. Spare mags will be available for the P-Pup Monday on ebay. He has 11 made right now and will be set for making more depending on demand. I have been using his mags for last 2 months, fit and function perfectly. My Pup seems louder than my Akela. I know it is if I turn down the Akela. Van, that could very well have a lot to do with my noise discrepancy! My Akela is cranked all the way up, just as I would use it for hunting, cause a target rifle it is not...least to me. It's a tool for medium pest eradication. My Pup seems louder than my Akela. I know it is if I turn down the Akela. The Pup feels better; shorter, lighter, and the stock is more comfortable. I only shot one magazine through the Pup. I compared it to the Akela both wide open and closed off. The Pup was louder than the Akela wide open. There is a large difference in sound from the Akela wide open and closed off.Van, that could very well have a lot to do with my noise discrepancy! Oh lord. You have picked a good one to compare to. The Gamo is Very quiet. A definite backyard friendly pcp. My standard 22 arrow is so quiet, especially after firing my other pcps, I have wondered if it's not shooting with the force it should. Squirrels would beg to differ though. And it still slaps and penetrates into my rubber mulch backstopping target as it shouldI only shot one magazine through the Pup. I compared it to the Akela both wide open and closed off. The Pup seemed to have more mechanical noise also.
Maybe the Gamo Arrow has me spoiled as far as a quiet gun is concerned.
The more you use the Pup, it will smooth out, far as the mechanical noise. Mine did anyway. I'm suprised though at how loud yours is, compared to your Akela. Do you have a speed guage? See how fast she shootin? Also, we're you able to check your rail, to see if standard picatinny rail will fit it?I only shot one magazine through the Pup. I do not have a chronograph. It is on the list of things I need to get.The more you use the Pup, it will smooth out, far as the mechanical noise. Mine did anyway. That's great news! Take all worry outta mounts you get not fitting. I know that was a headache for a lot of folks. I am scope prowling myself for the P-Airforce. It set to arrive Friday. I'm just not feeling one of my heavy tactical scopes, actually leaning towards same pinty scope I put on my P-pup.The rail is within .003 in of the rail on my Akela
