EVOL New Easy Cocking Hammer System For EVOL!

That’s would be great. Tom seems to listen to his Customer, as The Cocking effort, Externally adjustable Reg. and Hammer adjustments are the 3 things I’d like to change on an otherwise superbly designed and built Unit!

Reg pressure shouldn't change regardless of hammer system. When I had my 15" it was in the 1600-1650psi range for that speed with the 18gr.
Thanks for that info, currently as received mine is a bit more than that. Now to find someone who actually has the tools in stock to adjust the reg?

You don't need a barrel wrench to adjust the regulator. Removing the barrel helps, but it is not needed.

Remove the foster fitting, airguage and unscrew the end cap. Then with a long Allen key adjust the regulator. I would advise removing the cylinder and push out the regulator to make a precise adjustment.

Quick Update. We did all the testing with one hammer weight and two spring options. During tune development it became apparent when the heavy spring was used for 30 caliber the potential max fpe was just under the original system. The new system works extremely well up to 900 fps with a 44 gn but it does max out there where the older hammer systems allows for higher reg pressures and fpe.

There will be two hammer options and two springs available. A light weight hammer/spring for 22 cal for those shooting 18 gn and lighter ammo. A heavier hammer/spring for high power 22 and 30 caliber.

Then there is the heavy hammer/light spring for mid power 22 and 30 caliber setups.

We'll be publishing some baseline performance data with suggested reg setpoints soon.

After shooting my new-to-me EVOL 30 today side by side with the Ghost, I can justify the upgrade when it's available. It's still a fabulous rifle!
After using stock older variations of the evol, the cocking effort becomes a mute point. Most people who have taken my recommendation to get themselves an evol immediately say "wtf , why is this take this much effort?! "Then after owning them I always get, "man I don't get why I made such a big deal of that."

In reality, its not that much of an effort, it's just more than a ghost, or an impact.

Imo the cocking is smoother than both, and gives a positive feedback to the user. However it does require a little, tiny, tad bit of muscle. After shooting many rounds it becomes null. At least for me.

Now having shot a rifle with the new system, you get that positive, not toy like feeling but it is indeed easier to cock, it is night and day.

I'm just saying that after using my Paradigm only, for months, without shooting anything else. It became a complete and utter after thought.

before i got my EVOL while reseaching i was thinking it was going to take some effort to cock. once i got it and cocked it i thought WTF why is this even ever brought up. its a none issue.
my wife is tiny and she has never once said anything about it taking effort to cock?
