My how things change, I'd adjust your fpe category slightly though; >32fpe, 33-59, and 60+ as VERY few .22 PCPs are hitting 80Fpe, and I doubt 60+ fpe with pellets nets any real L.R. accuracy, that is slug territory. A 30gr slug doing 950fps is a smidge past 60fpe and is definitely gonna get you to 100Y easily. That distance is, to most airgunners, long range.am of the opinion, at this point, that if I could only have one gun, it would be a HP .22. I am not shooting as much lately and when I do shoot I don't want in close and boring. The .22 is definately a three tier experience; sub-32fpe, 33-60ish, and 70+, from pellets to slugs. I like my mid-power 250z as a gun, more than my FX, but the performance of the FX ultimately wins.
If going after 200Y+ as you currently are, I would agree and suggest you shoot a minimum 33gr for that sweet sweet B.C. This reminds me....I gotta call the dealer monday and see what's up with my Ghost slug barrel!
