Ghost Just got my ghost 👻 30

Just got my ghost 30 cal hp. Forst the quality is wonderful. Even the threading on the barrel is perfect. Carbon fiber shroud is so nice you can almost feel the fibers. Trigger leaves a bit to be desired but im sure with some work it will be perfect. Its great put of box but a tad to heavy for my liking. At 50 & 75 yards its one ragged hole with 44g jsb at 865fps. Ive yet to bring it to 100 yet being the key word.... i took the weaver rail off and used vector Optics adjustable dovetail scope rings to bring the scope closer to the barrel for obvious reasons. Im not a fan of super tall guns. Not a fan of bullpups if im being honest but the ghost is changing that. The fit and finish of this rifle is top notch. My grips are the mag being only 8 rounds and the rifle only coming with 1, mags being 110 dollars for extra is not great. I did get a hicap mag from Chris at Midwest Elite Airgun so that fixes grip number 1. I do think BRK could come down on the prices of the mags 110 dollars is ridiculous as far as im concerned and im sure most would agree. I will update as i go along. I am shooting an N50 benchrest event sunday and plan to use the ghost we will see how i fair? But i have a feeling im going to be just fine.

How’s your cheek weld with the scope low. Can you get low enough to get a decent sight picture without the pic rail on top?

Yes ising Vector optics dovetail adjustable scope rings it was easy. And scope is much lower to the bore. The rings were 20 bucks on amazon and are just as good if not better then most other options out there.

To be honest not great. I am struggling to get any pellet to shoot accurately. Ive tried every pellet at every setting. Polished the barrel. Tried with and with out the shroud. Chronograph numbers are great. So i have have come to the conclusion thus barrrel is a bust.

What gets me is you said it was shooting great when you first got it! Maybe there is still hope for the barrel? I'd think internals are all ok If chrono readings are healthy?

I was getting jsb 44.8 to do pretty well at 50 had a few ok grouos at 75. But 100 everything falls apart. Ive got an idea on how to.fix it but i dont think the daystate/brocock maxis are going to like it lol

The rifle its self is fine. Regulator is doing its job there is nothing wrong with the rifle. Im having a special barrel made for the rifle lol one i know is dead nuts at 100 as its coming out of another one of my rifles. Super secret sauce

Lol, ain't nothing wrong with that . Gotta do what ya gotta do, can't spend that kinda $$ on a gun that can't shoot. That will definitely iron out if barrel is issue. Thanks 4 the update.

I got the rifle to shoot 100 yard bench. And its just not going to cut it as is. And trust me ive spent hours trying different things. Pellets, different speeds etc etc. Another big issue was clipping with any silencer. It ruined a bran new 3oo dollar 0db Magnum it clipped so bad. Thats when i decided to remove shroud and try a silencer on the barrel.

Not sure where you bought the rifle, but contact them with the issues…There are bad barrels out there for sure and the rifle should be under warranty.

OUCH! Ruining a can that expensive would make me doubt the gun.

Ive contacted PAD whi is the warrenty center. They refuse to believe anyone knows what there doing. As ive told them all ive done with the rifle to make sure what the issue was. The rifle its self is great zero issues with the gun. The barrel is the issue. They want me to pack it up and ship it across the country on my dime vs just sending the barrel in for them to Examine.
