The new SuperLite shrouded / tensioned barrels are now available! They are available individually and will be standard on select EVOL models.

Sub-MOA Barrels – American Air Arms

SuperLite barrels are manufactured from stress relieved steel bar. They are precision drilled, honed, single point cut rifled, machined and final lapped.

The use of stress relieved material over other methods such as hammer forging allows the profile to machined to a bare minimum with distorting the diametrical precision of the bore. These SuperLites are really light!

Sub-MOA's proprietary machining process ensures ensures the bore, crown, and chamber are perfectly concentric with the outside profile of the barrel. This eliminates the need to "index" and also ensures axial precision with muzzle devices.

The shroud, which is the tensioning element, is made from specially selected high tensile aluminum alloy. This tensioning element is precisely compressed between the barrel lug and the moderator nut (an American Air Arms exclusive) providing rigidity, reduced harmonic excursion, and increased thermal stability. There are no clamps or set-screws to slip or pull out.

SuperLite Barrels are factory tensioned as a complete unit. This allows them to be removed and installed without altering the factory set tension.

Yes there are 25s but we have not made mags, bolts or chamber inserts yet.

We'll be adding 1:16 for slugs when trials are finished.

Yes there are. Full caliber changes for HPS is in the future too.

Yes, they are lighter, considerably lighter than our new line of PRS/BR barrels and the original barrel by an ounce; they do accept the original moderator.

Not a huge weight savings for a Mini but you do get the 1:22 5 groove cut rifled barrel which is superior in accuracy than the original TJ liner.

I’m producing 810 fps (18 grains) with the Evol mini and it’s 10inch barrel. Anyone know at what ballpark fps I would be with a 15inch barrel?
