Iguana Hunt

The Notos lacks one thing, though.....the POWA!! In Stock form does it not ceiling @ 20ish fpe? (I could be wrong btw!) From the videos I have watched there always seems to be tons of Lizards everywhere and it becomes a target rich situation quickly. Some get quite large, and of course some are 20Y away while others may be 50. I'd much rather put em down quick and move on to the next. Squirrel and Rabbit vs Notos would be perfect but I'd still want more clout for these beasts! 30fpe in .22 would be my min suggestion with a mag or 2...or 3😏

I've built 22 Notos conversions with 40fpe for Iguana hunters in South Florida so far with 2 orders promised this weekend.

Why would they spend $5-7 hundo on top of the $250 to buy the base model?

Six little letters: W E I G H T.

#6 Fully kitted with 100 shots on board?

Nothing on the market can do what a converted Notos can do at #6, nothing.

Who here has been on an iguana hunt in Florida? Any guide recommendations? We’re getting together a hunt in the next couple of months. I’m the only one who has airguns though. So we need a full guide service. Any insights or tips would be helpful.
I have been on a few. I filmed one with a couple friends:

I have a friend here that works chartering hunts as well. I think if I was from another state that is what I would do because of the legal issues that can happen. I personally only like to hunt in desolate areas where there are no urban situations happening.

Yeah, I plan on .25 minimum and possibly a .30. I was joking about NEEDING an FX Impact M4, but I really want one….

That’s our thoughts as well. Let the guide handle the legal liability, and ideally something in the more remote areas like the swamps.

Good to hear, I’ll give them a call when it gets closer to time. Thanks for the lead!
I will be going with him on a boat, canal trip here in the future for a documentary about the invasive problem from an airgun lens/side of things. If I do I'll try and remember to send it to you.

Well, bucket list item has been checked! This was a TON of fun. I will say, the guide we used was a “Trophy” guide. We could have had 100s of these iguanas. But they only wanted us to shoot 3’ or larger. We didn’t know that when we booked. Verify before you go if your guide is a Trophy guide or Conservation guide. Too bad about trophy focus. Did you have any iguana to eat? I hear they are chicken of the tropics.
