KalibrGun I’m officially done !!

This isn’t my first rodeo with Edgun west. Many moons ago I had another L1 I bought from him. Reg was crappy. He had the worst attitude when I had post purchase questions. I ended up returning it at that point. I swore I’d never get another Edgun then. Fast forward to now and pretty much not much has changed. They’ll take your $$ happily but when it’s time to shine it’s a total fail. I don’t understand this because I’m in the service industry. I will literally work for free until something is right because that’s what the right thing to do is. I believe in giving second chances but no more. I’m not shipping my gun 2000 miles away for problems. If a problem isn’t fixed do I ship it again? No. Dump the problems and stick with products with easy solutions. This is a hobby that should be fun not annoying. I choose to have Airguns it’s it a necessity. Fix shitty service there are other companies that will gladly take my $$ and help at all cost when it’s time. Shout out to The Pellet Shop, UA, Aoa (sorry if I missed any other but these are my go tos) at least PA takes stuff back and doesn’t give a hard time.

This isn’t a writing about Bryan personally he’s a cool dude i can talk to and have great conversations with him easily. This is about the company policy I guess and how customers get treated post sale on a customer level. Same as Wyatt he’s a cool dude they just don’t handle issues well. The guns can be flawed just like anything. My VW is a lemon but that’s my VW a lot of folks love their VWs

You aren't the first one to have issues with EdGun and the American Distributor. Years back, pre-Covid, I had a .25 R5M Long, and also a .25 R5M. I bought them based on reviews from 'Tubers that said how wonderful they were, and also AGN posts that said the same. At the time, anyone that said even the slightest negative criticism about EdGun was flame sprayed by the collective AGN group.

I had an R3 Long single shot .22 cal, and also a gen1 Lelya .20 cal that were (and are) great guns that I still have, so I felt comfortable with the R5M. Well, silly me. The action was stiff and clunky compared to every other side cocker that I had, and the magazine indexing was sporadic at best. I did everything I know to get it/them to work correctly, but they just didn't want to no matter what. The EW shop literally told me I didn't know how to cock the gun, and I should watch how "Ed" does it on video. I was shocked, since I know quite a bit about airguns of all brands and had already won 2019 EBR Sportsman 100Y and Speed Silo the year prior.

I tried to reason with him, that there was some sort of design flaw (with the .25 caliber) but he kept insisting that it was "operator error" and there was nothing wrong with the gun. I even had my good buddy from Texas take a look and try and work his magic on the gun (he's the best Airgunsmith that I know), but he couldn't get it working properly either. Its odd, since the Eddy single shot guns were/are fine, but the R5M in .25 was a train wreck. Once I started posting about these issues, others came out of the woodwork on AGN and wrote about similar issues...

So, Mike, you aren't the first - you're a part of a long line of shooters that don't know how to cock, load a magazine, index a magazine or shoot an EdGun. I was stupid enough to think maybe I got a lemon with the R5M standard and got an R5M Long - and it was the same huge disappointment. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me...

Jeez glad I’m not patient number 1. Glad to know I’m an idiot and don’t know how to shoot and operate a gun. Maybe I’ll take up knitting

Having problems with the guns themselves is one thing, and a good reason to quit them, but you made it sound like your issue was with one guy, and that's why I said what I said. Too bad, because you just about had me convinced that my next purchase was going to be an L2, and now you, and C'Cut, have me throwing that out the window. This has been a taxing and very disappointing thread indeed!

People should know. We’re not sugar coating anything. No one just writes this stuff for fun.

yea I was starting to secound guess wanting one after rolling them out not I just have to go ahead and move on.
at the moment the little western mordax has cast my eye

Over the years I've held onto a bunch of resentment, mainly from one collective group of individuals. The resentment held me back from wanting to enjoy public events and even going out of my way to avoid certain purchases, products and video content. I can relate to Mike, sometimes it's just easier to let go and take it as a loss. I'm sorry it costs you that much financial headache to figure out a particular brand or gun just isn't for you...that's ok, plenty of others. Move on and enjoy the hobby, plenty of good people and awesome Airguns to sink into.

Great words of advice

Why? It saved you from a disappointing purchase…

Those “mofos” on AGN shut the option to reply to what I wrote.
I like how they remove your posts cause he don't agree .. even though it has several likes and no hates . If the truth hurts ...lol

Agn is a liberal majority member gun site . Well most all are from areas that can't have guns or gun rights ... Any conservative view is punished but there views are ok ..hmmm...

Also note if a moderator reprimandd you you can't defend yourself whether right or wrong ..

I really do like it here, Stephen has done a wonderful job at letting us be ourselves without bias.
True it's fair opinion. Agn post here would be edited or removed and a p.m from mod3 . Bias is good wording there
