So I suffer from high anxiety. The anxiety transfers to things I’m passionate about and it’s hard to get rid of it unless by miracle there’s a solution that I’m happy with. Before Airguns I suffered new Tacoma anxiety where not one scratch could be on it. Fast forward to today, no Taco anymore just a work van. Anyway having mostly Edguns now is a huge relief because-
1. EGW is nearby
2. Ton of videos made by Brian, Ed and Sub 12 guy on repairs
3. Leaks are my main anxiety- Edguns make finding leaks simple by having a separate air cylinder
4. The simple repairs take minutes
5. Tuning is another anxiety for me in which especially the L2 there’s none of if you stick to recommended speeds of the setup, just one reg adjustment knob does the trick on the L2. The L1 is a traditional gun with a hammer but even this is easy to tune I just leave the reg at 110 and just use the hammer adjuster.
6. O rings sizes are readily available along with schematics
7. Brian is a cool dude 😎
8. Edgun West takes HAM points
9. The Edguns don’t shift poi because of the barrels being ran into the chassis and snugged with pinch bolts there’s no way the barrel can move.
10. Just plain reliable
- All these have calmed men down a lot. I’ll never buy any other brand because they don’t help me to have fun and to enjoy smashing critters without thinking about leaks, poi shift, tuning …

Yes I’m kookoo but there’s a solution for every kookoo and I’ve found it

You don’t have to tune / fiddle on a gun unless you want to, also I thought it was understood that “all” PCPs “will” eventually leak somewhere. The statement above makes it seem like all the “other brands” suffer from leaks, POI shifts, and tuning…? 🙄🙏

Guess what I meant to say is all of them have the same Buna 70 weakness just Edguns are just easier for me to repair with my limited time. As far as POI shift most guns have pretty weak barrel systems but guns like BRK, AAA, Edguns are pretty darn stiff.

Yip, given your long list of pros there I think you have stumbled onto something pretty good Mike! I own all (but 1) British made guns. They are as sturdy and reliable as the Edguns for sure, But man o man will it suck getting parts when they leak. Now the Ghost is a no Brainer....14 sealing o-rings, easy to work on, solid, lots of support/repair vids, but yeah getting parts won't be cool and I will be down a pcp when that day comes. Leak repair Cost to fix is a non issue as I will be fixing them myself (I reseal a fair amount of high pressure fuel rails, injectors, hyd cylinders, holding valves, regs, etc for a living) O-rings are definitely the main weak link, if you can take all the other possible issues out of the equation why not sir! 😎
