To start with I shoot competitively for the AOA / Daystate team and love every minute of it. That being said the barrels in our guns are a good 10 to 20 points behind the leading competition. Being a life long athlete I hate losing and even worse I hate knowing even my best day is not likely going to be enough to win. Add that I've been a mechanical engineer for a long time and the tinkering began.

I bought a barrel tensioning device from Ben in AZ, it was good but only gave marginal improvements. Many carbon tubes and springs later I had a system that was worth a solid +2-3 points. Do the math it was not good enough.

I liked the carbon tubes and the moderation of the harmonics so I started work on barrel tuners. Found a doctorate level thesis on barrel tuners and started calculating the weight based on projectile weight, speed, diameter, barrel length, barrel thickness. Several prototypes later this began to give improvements to scores as well.

Enter my first Ghost with 28" 1:30 twist barrel. It shot pretty good in stock condition but not any where close to the needed scores to win. A number of prototypes later the first Harmonic Modulator, a carbon tube molded to the barrel with tuner on the end. With some heavy barrel polishing it netted a 5th place in AZ EFT and minus a shooter mistake in the 100 it would have been a solid placement. (this also could start another discussion of what the lands and grooves do to the pellet and speeds, like a LW vs liner design saw a 30 FPS difference in speed)

Enter my first barrel prototype with the Harmonic Modulator I went with 22 cal since I had bought a Fady Ghost which came with 28" 1;17.7 twist and their barrel tension system. It was BAD and the barrel tensioning was even worse, it could not shoot pellets or slugs. My design created an outer barrel with a competitors liner which I molded into the outer barrel and then added my Harmonic Modulator. (I will add pictures tonight after work) This was an instant success I won EFT in Idaho and took 2nd in Utah. Also in the 100 yard had to stop using my front rest and use bipod and bag and still shot a 231 while standing behind the table.

Knowing EBR was coming and some of the EFT targets would not go down with a paddle hit from the 22, I got a 30 cal barrel finished a couple weeks before EBR. It was shooting stunningly. EFT didn't go well due to a oring failure but with a fix shot a 240 in qualifications. Yes I shot bad in finals (could not get the wind read right) just a 218. These barrels are looking great. The 25 cal is now done and shooting better then the 30. I remind everyone that this is just buying liners while competitor knows I'm on the other side so you know I'm not getting the best liner available. My design strengthens the outer barrel and reduces the harmonics of each shot and results in a barrel that now gives me a chance when I go to competitions.

My goal is to begin selling the system, yes the cost is going to be high but not being a company my resources are limited and I'm fronting the entire cost of the design and manufacturing. The complete system, will sell for $1400 and can be fitted to a Ghost, Delta, Alpha. I can reduce the cost if you have a 700mm liner that you would like me to use.

I'm using this to get an idea of the level of interest so I can start ordering parts for the barrels. I have designs that can create 22, 25 and 30 cal barrel systems. You can also just get the barrel minus the Harmonic Modulator and just place the stock air splitter and shroud on. You can also use the barrel clamp as well but it won't work as well as the Harmonic Modulator frame block.

I've personal spent some time with glen's .25 ghost. As glen loaned me this gun with his barrel kit while I designed a larger magazine for the ghost. I personally sent over 400 pellets through this barrel system. Loving every minute of the magazine testing. This is a wonderful gun cocking, loading and tack driving. His gun would absolutely stack pellets in the same hole at 50 yards. The interesting thing about my personal experience. Glen when loaned me this gun he had just installed the scope. He had been doing some measuring for his next great idea. But any way, my point is the gun had just been assembled. I took the gun with the knowledge that I'd need to sight it in. The crazy thing, I only needed to make a 4 click adjustment in the windage to have it spot on. I never expected that any gun could come apart and go back together with very little sight adjustment. A true testament to the quality of the barrel system. Someday I'll own a Ghost and it will have Glen's barrel system on it!!!! If he had one for the RTI Prophet, I'd be sporting one at EBR next year.

For all you Ghost owners Monster (my friend) is developing large magazines for the Ghost. Can you imagine 30 rounds in a 30 cal instead of just 8.......... Then 33 round in the 25cal and 36 rounds in the 22cal. I can't wait to get to the comps and not have to do constant mag changes, and the change always comes right in the middle of great wind call. With my new barrel and Monster magazines I feel like mid and upper 240's will be possible all the time.

I also need to add that for you RTI guys Monster has large magazines for you too. Oh and FX'ers same numbers for the Impact. If you come to the range with a Monster magazine you'll be more then loaded.
