Ghost Ghost HP plenum size ????

As I have been posting on here, I have been working on getting my HM1000x to shoot slugs well enough for hunting and NRL22 work. That got me to thinking about the BRK Ghost Hp that I have......and have been waiting for a BRK Slug barrel for the rifle. I haven't gotten ANYTHING from BRK about the barrels or where to buy them. So I was looking at possibly buying two of the LW barrels and have one for the HM1000x and one for the Ghost. I know what the plenum size is for the Hm1000x but there is nothing out there for what the plenum size is for the Ghost. I have been looking online and am not finding any measurement for the size, all I am seeing is " The Ghost has a MASSIVE plenum for high power. One of the largest in the industry"........ok but what size are we talking?

Does anyone have any information about what size the plenum is on the Ghost and the different versions of the ghost?

I don’t know the exact plenum size but you can get a 22 slug barrel from aoa you just have to call to order it.

I have been talking to them since they were first released.....and have gotten no where with them. Honesty quite frustrating

When I ordered mine just told them i wanted a 22 slug barrel they sent a 700 mm 22 slug barrel with a sticker on it saying slug barrel. The 700 mm 177 shoots 13 gr slugs very well and the 700mm 25 @ 30 call are pellet barrels. Ive shot 40 gr to 75 fpe with the 22 barrel

All evidence i have found (and I dug DEEP) points to between 33-40cc for the plenum.....not huge by any means but it does the job. I joined a facebook page just so i could get in on the Brk Ghost chatter. The administrator of the group (Precision Airgunning) no longer works for Brk (he was a barrel tester like @Soren Drost but .22 caliber) and sold his Ghost as it didn't have the plenum size for big slugs, according to him. He was unhappy with the path Daystate took, cost of the barrels, etc...
The Brk barrel order page does actually work now. It says to put in your info (so they can estimate shipping costs/legal hurdles) and they should get back to you with a cost.

If/when I do get a Brk slug barrel and find the plenum to be the weak link i'd try popping the reg gauge out and threading in a small 20-ish cc chamber in its place. But for my intended usage; 25-34gr slugs for starlings up to 125Y away, the Ghost will hit the req slug speeds no problem in factory form with the 28inch barrel for those weights. But....the burning question: Will it be accurate enought to hit said starlings with slugs past 50Y?

@Woogie_man hows this @ 75 fpe and 100. When you call remember you don’t want a sub moa you want a brk barrel.

The Ghost plenum is only 33cc compared to an RTI Mora that has 125cc. While you can shoot slugs its working really hard to do it, hard hammer hits and long valve opening durations. Better not be in a hurry for second shot as it has a cycle time to refill the plenum.

The Rti Mora is pretty much top of the pcp power foodchain....a more fair comparison would be vs the FX impact.... similar size/weight gun but with a 75cc plenum, to send similar weight ammo.
A small plenum doesn't inherently fill slowly but I'd agree that with a poor tune it could.
I've never rapid fired a mag with my Ghost over the chrono on a target....im curious now if the fps would drop noticably

Have been considering the barrel.... but $597 and possibly a 90 day wait!

And if I get a barrel then I will be hanging on to the rifle and make myself get used to it.

Lol I just got off Lothar Walthers website....they have the 1:17.7 or the 1:15.9 twist in 28inch for ALOT less coin. Polygonal or standard rifling, choked or not. If you have a good machinist....you can save some coin for sure.

My Ghost, stock wont shoot an 18.13 any better than the B.W. You need a lighter spring 100% i even dumped reg to 100B and still too fast. Im not sure how I feel about neutering the BW....imagine spending 2X the price vs an FT gun then modding it to get it lower power, than showing up at a sub20 fpe match and probably get slapped around anyways? Horses for courses i say, i think he did an excellent job in proving it CAN be done though.

If you buy a lw barrel and a shroud and all necessary bits and spend $250-300 to have it machined and then it shoots terrible you might as well buy the brk barrel. Ask me how i know! Ill sell you a lw 25 cal no choke barrel already machined for the ghost $400 + shipping
