Franco's Slug is .217, the downside is they will not fit in the BRK mags as they are a tough long, I did mention this to him, they work great out of my PRS single shot feeder, I order some 38gr to see if they will fit in the mag, the 36gr do fit the mag just fine.

The cost of his slugs in .22 per 100:
33gr = $7.30
36gr = $7.92
40gr = $8.74

On another note, we also shot the 35gr .25 cal through my buddy's Umarex Gaunlet and they were excellent through that gun!!

The 35gr shoot really well out of the 250z too. So does the 36gr…. I like running the lighter weight stuff fast. His slugs have the best expansion I’ve seen so far too. Absolutely thwacks any critters I hit.

They are very consistent weight-wise as well,

If i were you i would turn the reg down to 135-140 bar and try the lighter slugs again at 165 bar you might be pushing too much air past the slugs as they leave the muzzle and destabilizing them. Can’t hurt to try

That could also be caused by too much dwell time right? As in the H.S. Is keeping the valve open longer than necessary?

The ghost is funny in ways pw 18-20 there is almost no change even if you have s good range of velocity , though if you go to pw 17 usually the sd will drop) and then I've had the power wheel do nothing if the reg was too high or too low. It has a balance valve you cant tune like a fx exactly and i never shot a alpha or delta to compare.

Measuring like for like grain-wise… messing with a ballistics app I had been kinda cheating and using the NSA presets to calculate the ballistic table. It was pretty close most of the time but I was finding less drop than the app was predicting… make a long story short I got bored at work and started measuring slugs on the micrometer… the Franco’s are long compared to the other slugs I’ve used in similar weights… for example a 31gr Franco is about .100” longer than a 32gr patriot javelin.

I’m thinking this is probably a big factor in why they perform so well for me… that added length is definitely improving BC

Ive found the easiest way to get strelock to line up with what your projectile is doing is to shoot a group at 10 yds and adjust scope height to match poi. Then shoot 100 yds and adjust bc to match poi. Then recheck both to verify.
This is using holdovers! And setting a 0 that only gives holdovers somewhere between 30 and 40 yds usually

Im using the DNT app. I haven’t used Strelok because I have an iPhone… and generally speaking I don’t like to download anything Russian… for cyber security purposes…. I’ve used chairgunner and it was okay but the DnT app using g7 model has been the closest for me…. I have been inputing info and comparing it to what I see in real life…. Once I got the right length to my slugs it started matching really well…. Which for someone who is a noob to all of this stuff is very exciting.

Oh I have no doubt… I’ve been spreading Franco’s info to everyone. My gun has been fun to shoot from day one but switching to the Franco’s was like getting a new gun…. With the exact same settings on the gun I get 40fps more out of a 35gr Franco than a 34gr H&N… both .250… only other difference is cup vs dish base… but then again a 35gr Franco is faster than a 33gr Apolo… both cup base.

Cantona256, the length of the 38 grain slugs is .4660mm to .4650mm, and the body size .2180mm, they shot very well and fit the stock magazine and the Maple custom mags!! on my pellet gauge they drop through the 5.58 hole

I had very similar length results in the sense that they were consistent to .005… I’m glad to hear that they shot very well! How do the speeds compare to other slugs of the same weight?

I was shooting lighter grain slugs I ordered heavier ones from Franco and just shot his slugs. Might do a test this weekend with some different ones.

Have you received your new barrel with the 1:30 twist yet? I am guessing the 25.39 JSB pellets will shoot great out of the barrel, since I have had good luck with the redesigned short skirt pellet in the 1:17 barrel.
