Its so easy i pull the barrel out for every cleaning on mine! Then I pop the breech o-ring out (just as easy) and clean away, incl inside the shroud where lead debris collects. Re-install and re-zero. Done. A full caliber change and rezero with a full mag on target should only take you 15 minutes. This ease of swap looks really nice. Bravo BRK!
Technically speaking no, but if it shoots well then I prefer it. My Marauder had basically the same thing, but I went one better. Instead of putting an oring in the barrel band I bedded the barrel band with JBWeld. It is an absolutely perfect fit. I can still slide the barrel shroud out but I have to pull it out perfectly straight or it will jam. I can pick the gun up by the barrel, have never used a gun case when bringing it places, and it has never lost zero. It's a brick and super accurate. So, if your Ghost needs an oring and it's working, so what? They're cheap enough and easy to get. You could always bed it too. Then you won't have to bother with the oring. Its so easy i pull the barrel out for every cleaning on mine! My question is....would you consider the Ghost to have a full floating barrel?
As there is technically an o-ring holding it slightly before it exits the one-piece block.
You don't have a Ghost? For some reason I thought you did. This ease of swap looks really nice. Bravo BRK!
No. It was a good assumption though. I used to just be in love with the whole idea of bullpups, and still am. In practice, however, I shoot a lot better using longer conventional guns. So I've decided in the past year to not even look at bullpups anymore, at least as far as precision shooting goes. If I were to get one though, now that they are doing slug barrels, it would have been a Ghost. You don't have a Ghost? For some reason I thought you did.
I prefer long guns myself as I just have a hard time aiming bullpup style guns. I still have a few in my collection though.No. It was a good assumption though. I also know you love to shoot off a tripod. I did for my first time ever last summer after all you guys recommending it and....AMAZING!! S510 & the BOG pesting.No. It was a good assumption though. The Ghost bottom rail is a menace to fit in a tripod. This year's Ghost goodies?
Heavily thinking on getting a custom trigger gaurd made after seeing @Cantona256 put one on his slug rig. I 100% refuse to get multiple stack-on adapters or buying overpriced Brk goodies for it. All it needed is one more pic rail segment and the roundover chopped off & it would fit in 99% of pic clamps....burns my a$$ lol. Heres a picture of what I bought to mount it and neither worked.
Plus...do i want to hang my expensive & heavy pcp off a 2-segment aluminum pic rail? NO!
My opinion on the Ghost is:
One of the Best bullpups money can buy as far as simplicity to service/repair/tune, minimal o-rings. Overall build quality is 10/10.
Negatives:
All the bolt on parts are cheap crap including grip, buttpad, and gauges & the trigger gaurd pic rail is tiny. Barrel needed a polish after a short while with a easy to do trigger job highly recommended.
Im still working on this but... Sadly first group accuracy is almost always crap. I didn't go FX for that reason and the Ghost did not deliver in that depart
PRS makes a long arca/picatinny rail. I've ordered from him before.I also know you love to shoot off a tripod. I did for my first time ever last summer after all you guys recommending it and....AMAZING!! S510 & the BOG pesting.

I think the brk long arca rail is cheaper. I got 1 from aoa i think for $193+ shippingPRS makes a long arca/picatinny rail. I've ordered from him before.
In your pic I see Ghost rail, adapter, adapter, tripod clamp....yikes. (Im a bit of a purist lol)I got these parts off amazon for just a couple bucks and they are holding the gun fine on my carbon fiber tripod

Well if thats too ghetto for ya this is only $200In your pic I see Ghost rail, adapter, adapter, tripod clamp....yikes. (Im a bit of a purist lol)
I pest and my gear needs to be near flawless. Chasing a blinking rabbit currently, in about a foot of snow after shearing my blackberry bushes to the ground last night.New year, new pests.
I have the Fanue and the Magpul shown in my picture....neither fit on the ghost directly...very close but no go (and no issues getting them up here?) The Fanue is neat I believe it interfaces with arca and picatinny.

I definitely love that rail, how heavy is it? I oddly love having my bipod in the factory position
If your using pic just get a little riser so things clear the bottle you don’t have to go arca. I went arca on everything just to keep everything the same. Its got some weight i use this gun for bench with a bbipod out on the end if your only using on tripod ya the gun balances well just in front of the trigger hence the first setup i showed youI definitely love that rail, how heavy is it? I oddly love having my bipod in the factory position... so I may get a factory styled trigger gaurd machined up with just one more picatinny slot in it?
I have given that rail ALOT of thought for mine as wellI put the Saber Tactical Universal rail on mine with both picatinny and ARCA railing. It has worked great for me as I shoot mostly off a tripod but occasionally take it to the range and then use a bipod at the table. The Form grip and cheek rest are also great.

I have the same one. It's a good option.
