Why Do You Think Air Tubes Are Better Than Bottles?

Rather than a front mounted Bottle I have always like the larger size Cylinder's on the AEA models.
Interesting - my thoughts are the exact opposite. I've found the AEA cylinders to be big and heavy making their airguns too front heavy.

I like tubes on airguns designed around them, but when I see some of the current line-up of bottle guns where they just replaced the bottle with a cylinder I have to laugh. There's a huge gap between the tube and the barrel which just makes me think - we didn't you just leave the bottle on.

Is there a physical reason bottles need to be rounded on the ends? I see some smaller ones are “sharp” but aesthetically if typical bottles were “square” edged they would be a lot nicer looking.
CF because the fiber is wrapped around the aluminum core and rounded gives greater structural integrity.

Bottles generally give higher shot counts and easy swaps, but tubes are lighter, sleeker, and often balance better. The “versatility” of bottles only matters if you actually buy and carry spares — otherwise, tubes can feel more practical.
And for long days in the field a small bottle (in my backpack) to re supply the cylinder works great. If not too far from camp/car a large bottle or a portable compressor awaits.
