Alpha/Delta Wolf Delta Wolf arrived today

My .22cal Delta Wolf arrived today. Initial impressions are that it's a very nice gun. I cleaned the barrel, installed the barrel clamp kit, a short PRS arca/picatinny rail and a scope. It arrived empty so I turned down the reg to about 1 turn out and then filled the rifle. I set the program for 18gr at 900fps and it asked for 140 bar. I set it at 110 and tried a few shots. The velocity was erratic so I bumped it up to the requested 140 bar and the velocity was still erratic (battery level is fine). The mosquitoes were too vicious to mess around with it so I went home and pulled the shroud off to check if the chrono tube was clean. It was but I noticed a little piece of lint under one of the 4 pads that read the velocity. I remove it, powered on the gun and the red LED went on so I know the chrono is working. Put the shroud back on and will charge the battery overnight and hopefully get an opportunity to try it out tomorrow.

Is it time for a warranty return? This one should never been sent in this condition. As long as customers do their final inspections for them, companies will continue to send out faulty products and let the consumer do the final inspections. Orv

Found the source of the erratic velocity. I was going through some posts on another forum and having a broken hammer spring was mentioned as a possible cause. Guess what I found.

Oh wow that's not good! Just had my Ghosts spring out last night when I replaced the buttpad on it....polished the spring and put a dab of grease on the ends just in case lol. Your hammer spring looks alot thinner! Both my pcps from AGS came filled up and ready 2 go....i'd call and ask what gives?!

The Daystate Alpha/Delta Wolf is like FX's original gen.1 Impact. It had the potential to be a brilliantly great gun but nobody could get it quite there. What a shame. And it doesn't seem to me like they are doing any better on their barrel selection in the Black Wolf compared with the garbage barrels delivered with the majority of Alpha/Deltas. ART used to actually mean something when the Red Wolf came out and was a unique service to get an exquisite barrel. Now it's just a catch phrase which no longer has any meaning in terms of quality.

I sent an email and pic to Travis at AGS, he sent me a prepaid label and the rifle arrived there last week to be repaired. I'm guessing the part will have to come from England, so I don't know how long that will take. I did read on another forum that there was a batch of bad springs so I probably won the spring lottery there. If I had to have any issues with a rifle, I would like to get it over with right off the bat. Hopefully we still have some nice weather after I get it back.

Ya. I'm sure it will be all right once I finally get it back. The waiting is the crappy part, and winter isn't too far off.

Hmmm…one statement here was quite harsh..lol. I will just say I have two. One in .25 and one in .30. Both shoot excellent with a wide variety of ammo. Yes barrel problems have been a documented problem but the majority….the platform as an entirety not being good…ehh hasn’t been my experience. Hey the more people that believe that the further the used market prices will be driven down. Winner winner as I could always use a third one. One of the best platforms I have owned personally.

Repaired rifle arrived back home today. Hopefully the weather remains decent enough to sight in the scope this weekend. Looking forward to getting to know this one.

Glad you got her back home. The weather has went south here in Missouri. Its going to be 38 degrees tonight and a high of 50 tomorrow and rain. Went from hot to cold real quick! Hopefully where you're at the weather will be better.

I have had lots and still having problems with my delta wolf , I got it new and as soon as I filled the gun it leaked 100 bar over night and the barrel had pits and rust on it , there was 3 crushed orings in it , so it was test fired by AOA and daystate and it still was sent to me like that

Have they offered to take it back and repair those things ? Should all be warranty

yes I sent it back I think 4 times and now might have to send it sent it back after I just got it back from repair , they are going to send my a replacement cronny if that dont fix it I have to send it back at 80 dollars to ship to them , I have spent 180 on shipping so far getting it fixed

Yeah for a gun that costs like $3k-4k (right) all of that is unacceptable.

I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with that.

As a hunter and exclusively a slug shooter I’ve pretty much ruled out any of those super pricey British guns from ever being added to my arsenal. I’ve shot a Daystate and frankly they do nothing to justify their price tags or the adoration they get.

I did get it working and will be going to the range soon I hope
