2240-Type Converting to .177 ?

Considering changing my 2240 to .177 with a 10" barrel.
Two reasons: My .177 pumper is so much more accurate and much higher volocity.
However it is getting hard to use a pumper anymore as I have damaged wrists.
The 2240 is very loud, I'm thinking .177 would be a bit quieter. The 2240 eats Co2, thinking a .177 might get me more shots?
Thoughts or suggestions?

Id look around for something more like what you want thats made already instead of dumping a bunch of money in something that might not work well

I just ordered a new barrel & bolt from crosman.
$21 shipped
Super nice lady there to talk to and she sent me the schematics with all the part numbers.
