Chinese Chronograph vs Labradar

Will be interested in your results. I have one like Hateful McNasty only mine does fps as well as mps. Have been thinking about getting one with the light curtain. Can’t wait to hear what you think.

They both work very well. I figured out how to change the larger one from MPS to FPS today. It has a nice big screen to read. The only drawback is it seems like it could easily break if it is handled roughly. The metal rods put a lot of tention on the unit. The pieces that arch above are made of silicon board, so not very flexible. For the price, they both work great.

I used the larger one today while I shot about 40 pellets at a target. Great readings from the unit.

I do chronograph recordings for my job and have one of the new labradar on order. I will compare these to that once it arrives. Even though I have access to a Labradar, I like the portability and ease of use of these small units.

If I have time I am going to run both of these china specials together this weekend and get some BC data.

Very true, I just want something that seems consistent. The LX is for work when we test PB's. i just had to give it a go and learn it. I plan on running it against the other two chinese models I have, just to have an idea.
I used my Revere because it has been a proven consistent rifle.

Thing is each gave you a consistent shot string .. did the china give a tighter shot difference ? 8fps hi lo vs 10 ? Lol...

Without a fool proof way to insure a calibration . Each one looks good at face value .. being that china is a big value... the lab gives you that one upmanship..

Yeah. If I didn't need it at work, I'd never be using one. The chinese models do everything I need.

The lab manual also says it is accurate within 0.1% under optimal conditions. The chinese models do not make a statement on accuracy haha. I feel If a company is going to make that statement, they are sure of their product and willing to back it up. Could it be wrong, yes, but they do open themselves up to more possible litigation by doing that.

That's true but how you going to prove there statement wrong? That's the trick .
There's no crony calibration or check tool.

Heck for all ya know lab-radar contracts some or same china guy to write that crony software used in each..

Like fl22 said it's what you like best and what one gives you piece of mind on accuracy , function or trust.

Me I just check rebuilds / tunes on my springers then it's dust collecting till another tune or one starts acting " funny" and I need to see what's going on. (Like several months or due for a new spring or seal ?). I guess in PCP a guy would want the better he feels best .. ijdk .

Anyway there both looking good to me either way.. I guess

Also, if you have this style of chronograph and you are getting a lot of shots that do not register, change your batteries. It will still look like it is powered on correctly, but doesn't have the juice to work. When mine has adequate battery charge I rarely get shots that do not register.
