PCP BSA R12 XLX .22 cal

Hello sir. Just registered this morning here. I agree w/ you on the BSAs. I just received my R10SE from AOA last week. I did a few mags after cleaning the barrel, which was the cleanest barrel I've ever received in an airgun. I then referred back to HAM's tuning video of the R10. I turned the hammer spring in to stop then backed out 5 turns , re-shot the string then another 1/2 turn out. This morning I got 4 mags worth of several 15 & 18(av) pellets w/ air to go before refill. I'm impressed to say the least ! Velocity was spot on to claims along w/ most any ammo working for pest duty to 40yrds. I noticed a rew weeks ago the R12 is on the Gamo USA product list. That is on my bucket list now! BTW, I had to get a rifle case to secure the R10 in (yet affordable) so I picked up a hard case at Harbor Freight , perfect !
I'm glad that the HAM tuning information was useful for you 😃

Interesting as that is much less power than I’ve seen in videos of this gun. Does anyone know if the r12 has an adjustable hammer spring? Please quote this so I get notified. Thank you.
They do not have factory adjustable hammer springs.

I can tell you that the two R12s XLX PROs that I have shot all shoot 15.89s around 940 FPS. I have two in laminate and they look amazing.

I also have an XLX in walnut and it shoots the 15.89s at 880fps.

Ok I must have misread your original post. Thought it said 880 or something for speed. They missed the boat big time not making HS adjustable. Is there at least a TP restrictor ?

I just went back and looked and you are correct that the wood stocked rifle was doing 880 with 15.89s. That is an XLX. The laminate ones I have are XLX PRO. They come with more power.

Sorry for the confusion.

Welcome to HAM! Thanks for sharing about your experience with the BSA. Those R10 and R12s do look great.
