Good day all, Dan here, I have been wanting an Atlas PSR for my Ghost since buying it is April. They have been out of stock (Canada) since....April 😢. Then I looked at the MDT grnd Pod, and then the Accu tac SR5. Now I'm back at Atlas but the Cal version. Anyone with any info on these, likes/dislikes on any of your (air) guns please share! Pan is not important to me but cant definitely is. The cost is alot I get it but I 100% subscribe to buy once cry once and have yet to be disappointed in my air gun hobby purchases. Recoil of course is not an issue and love the quick on/off idea, should I not need it at the moment. Lastly these all have 1913 rail so could also be swapped back and forth to (future?) guns. My Ghost sits in its case all vulnerable with its gauges and slippery aluminum/carbon fiber body. I want it to be a little more supported and safe, It fell once already off my bench rest. The Helix took the hit like a champ👊 but I'd like to never do that again!

Well I can’t see spending that much for a bipod! I have 2 different Utg’s and they work fine for me actually I use my primos bipod more out and about and I have been using a small tripod I got off amazon for the bench. The tripod was $100 and I think my bipod was like $75 so that’s about 1/2 the cost of atlas

Yeah I'm loving my Caldwell rock Jr for the springers and S510, the Ghost was grouping well with it to but I love laying down and shooting alot so the bipod is one less thing to pack (vs tripod or rest) I took the S510 out this spring with a compact foam rest and plunked it down on anything and everything while pesting. The body count was high and the gun was spared getting beat up that day. The Bipod would only be on half the time I'd be guessing and the 9inch max height should be about perfect for what I need🤔 Yeah our Canadian prices are pretty horrible. The accutac or Atlas are listing for about $450-500cdn on most websites that have stock. But monies kinda worthless these days with the jokers who are in charge.

I prefer the accu tac WB-4 over the atlas cal, I have both
Hey another Canadian! 😅 It seems the Atlas is the standard to be measured by for sure...but it doesn't mean their everyone's favorite or the best! The Gen2 versions it seems are pushed forward even more which I like as the stock tiny rail is just past midway on the Ghost so the more forward the better.
I have a GG&G Tactical Bipod and actually like it more than the Atlas. Light weight and very functional.

Oh oh another model to look up 😅🥴

Accu-tac SR5 on its way!! I was researching the options, watching/reading reviews like a responsible person (this one was on the top of the list along with the Atlas CAL) I liked the looks and super quick deploy legs a little better and it was $10 less...then I stumbled on another Cdn website that had it $70 cheaper and only one left in stock!!🤩 All sense of restraint disappeared I grabbed my CC and ordered! Got it taxes in and shipped with insurance for the same price as the website I found it on, It pays to shop around some times! 👍

Can't go wrong with an Atlas. Mine is the PSR BT46-LW17. I've had it for a few years and no regrets. I did pick up some leg extensions just in case. Saw a video where a guy took the feet off and used the correct diameter wooden dowels and inserted them into the legs to make a longer bipod leg for seated shooting.

I know it's a controversial topic but I'm a user of clone bipods.

I've had an Atlas clone for a couple years, swapped it from gun to gun and it's been great. I added some orings and did some of the other YouTube "fixes" when I first received it. All of the long range shooting results that I've shared from the Ghost have been taken using that cheap clone. The Ghost actually lives on the atlas clone, sitting on the workbench in my gun room. Unless I'm traveling to a match or using the Ghost, it's been sitting on that cheap Atlas clone since September of 2022.

I received one of these about 6 weeks ago, accutac clone....
CVLIFE 7.5-9 Inch Bipod Picatinny Rifle Bipod with Quick Release Mount Bipod for Rifles for Shooting Outdoors Amazon.com

This far it has also been great.

The Atlas clone is the more compact of the two
The Accutac clone has longer legs than the Atlas.
I like the loosen and lock for cant feature on the Accutac more than the push against the resistance cant on the Atlas.

I know that buying clones is essentially supporting theft. But I also feel that the brand names are vastly overpriced. And yes, you get what you pay for and the brand name are probably machined better, etc. But I'm younger and have four kids under 15years old and the disposable income account isnt huge.

I've spent $50-60 bucks on two bipods that would have been $500-600 for the name brands. The clones have worked just fine for me for shooting fancy bb guns.

Yeah I stumbled on a clone-utac vs accutac video done 3 yrs ago by @Sub12 airgunners and it was an eye opener, showed the improvements of gen 1 vs gen 2 and how cheap the clone was. I thought forever about it and expect for the $420 I spent it will be 100% amazing. Thing weighs in @ 22ounces😳🤣 apparently. I am excited to be able set the ghost down and not always worry about it trying to end its life on the floor. I'm always carrying rags, foam blocks, rests etc around when I shoot it 🤭 The cost is there for sure but I can only shoot 1 gun at a time and if I choose to use the bipod it can easily be swapped back and forth now. Used a cheap $60 bipod once on my brother's gun....useless.

Accu-tac here...I have had many bi-pods (Atlas, UTG, Harris and a few others) throughout my years of shooting rifles (Powder burners) but for the the Accu-tac is worth the money....

Yeah just a big heads up to my American brother's! Accu-tacs website says there is a 40% off sale for July 4th long weekend!! 🤩 The window to order is pretty small I think but 40% off is no joke. I lost out on the free shipping for the Canada day sale but I was only Charged $10 for UPS to send it so not big deal. I see SR5 model in basically the same as the BR-4 just longer....hoping it works well for the ghost height wise!

bipods as a whole what about the magpul stuff? been want the Accu-tac but i just today seen some mapuls that caught my eye.

Primaryarms.com is having some good July 4th sales as well. It's dangerous as they are local to me :ROFLMAO:
It's a dangerous time indeed🤭 I made my order and they asked if I would subscribe to there sale flier emails (traps🤣) I figured ah why not!? Well next day I get the Canada day long weekend flier....SPEND $300 GET FREE SHIPPING, SALES ON GUNS, BULK AMMOOOO....oh dear this was a bad idea 🙈

I don't own either but soon I will have a beautiful Accu-tac in my hands.... From what I hear magpuls are a grade down for sure, but probably fine for most situations? I say check out the MDT grd pod too while your at it? Or just go Accutac😒😏.... 40% off soon, American made, sooo fine, and if you don't kill that charging boar with your first shot, you can probably defend yourself with the Bipod as a club!? Everyone has there reasons for spending what they do on stuff, me I just won't be putting a $49.99 bipod on a $4000 dollar gun/scope set up. I'd live the rest of my life regretting cheaping out, wondering what stability I'd been missing and then probably buy the good one anyways....I know how I am🤭🤣 🙄

Well look what rolled in yesterday!! Worked all day and night so just put it on now and played around a bit, now it's pouring rain😢.....hopefully I try it out Sunday evening! My fears that I should have went with the smaller BR-4 version are all but gone. This thing is RIGID!! Height is perfect. Yup it's hefty but I can pop it off and on in (I kid you not) 5 seconds flat.
