Airgun Hunting Photo Thread - The Best of the Best *WARNING: Graphic Photos*

As the HAM hunting forum grows it will be easy for good threads to be buried under new threads. I already see that happening with some of our most prolific hunters' threads here. Consequently I'd like to start this thread where memories of your best airgun hunts can be preserved and displayed here. The "best of the best" means your personal best. Try not to compare yourselves to one another as we are all at varying skill levels, ages, locations, etc. If you limited out with your Air Arms spring-piston airgun during squirrel season or if you killed a bear with a Western Airguns Bushbuck, let's show the world what our airguns cans do.

Here's how this thread works - Post photos of your best hunts, your most productive, or most challenging pesting outings with your quarry and airgun(s) in the photos. Above the photo please include the make and model of your airgun, optic, and projectile used. Your photos should be as clear as possible given your hunting conditions and available camera. They should also include large game animals, varmints, nuisance animals, multiple pests (if you can stage them in rows that'd be awesome), animals that presented a challenge to hunt, or animals legally taken demonstrating the capabilities of your chosen airgun. Additionally if you have a hunting thread with details about the hunt presented in your photos please link it below the corresponding photo(s).

Photos displayed here should be of game animals, destructive pests, or invasive species TAKEN LEGALLY WITH AN AIRGUN OR AIR POWERED ARROW GUN.

Alright you airgun hunters and pesters, show us what you've got!

Nice job. I'm not tech savvy enough to post stuff, I have a fellow on another forum that I send my cell pics to
and he puts them up. My wife & I tried several times to post unsuccessfully. I was getting ribbed a lot ( no pics, it didn't happen!) telling of my adventures. After my friend put my pics in it reminded me of Comedian Ron Whites "Diamonds, that'll shut 'er up" ! I've always taken cell pics when possible & have kept a running tally of G-hogs & rats, never bothered w/ pigeons or starlings ( wish I had ). I don't take squirrels unless they mess w/ my Bluebird boxes or chew on wires ( Girrr).

Took this feral boar hog with my Benjamin Bulldog M357 11/04/25. I located the sounder with a thermal hand scanner maybe about 15 minutes after exiting my truck. Spot lighted them and took my shot from maybe 30 yards, a heart/lung shot with a 140 grain Griffin Airgun Ammo HPRBT slug. It ran less than 15 yards and collapsed.

I have a soft spot for airguns due to my history with them. Pursing my passion has lead me to have a career in the industry, which allows me to have some amazing and unique opportunities, and more importantly, I have been able to meet some super awesome people! That being said, I'd like to share some of my best, and most memorable hunts with yals:

Number 1 on the list is my oldest son's first big game animal. This is a whitetail doe that he shot with a Western Rattler .45 shooting 360gr High Arc Hunter slugs. The shot was taken at about 20yds, and the doe ran less than 80 yds before she expired. The scope used was a SWFA 6x. I added a Pitbull Airguns cheek rest and buttpad to the airgun. My son used an Athlon tripod to help keep him steady. Full video of the hunt:

The largest game I have taken to date have been black bear. My first was a cinnamon boar shot off a bait. I used a Western Bushbuck shooting 360gr High Arc Hunter slugs. The scope used was a Hawke 10x. The bear was shot at 50yds, he ran less than 50yds, climbed a tree, and fell dead half way up. I found him at the base of the tree, lights out. My second black bear was with hounds, shot was taken at 20 yds using the Western Rattler .45 (same one my son used, same ammo and scope). One shot was all that was needed for this boar as well but I was with houndsmen that were not familiar with airguns and asked me to take a second shot, I complied as I was their invitee. If you watch the video closely, you will see the blood splat against the tree after the first shot, I new the shot was a solid hit. After the second shot, the boar's right back leg went lip and I new he was on his way out. They wanted me to take a third shot, but signs told me he was done so I didn't... seconds later he fell out of the tree. You can watch both videos on these two links:

I am also an archery, so I love to see arrows fly. Combine arrows with an airgun, and I'm on cloud 9. This whitetail buck was taken with my all-time favorite airgun, my American Air Arms Evol .30 with a custom arrow barrel kit. I have it tuned so I can literally remove my pellet barrel, and screw in my arrow barrel... no need to change tuned dependent on the projectile. I attached a link to a video I made highlighting the gun. The shot was taken at 20 yds, arrow went through the buck so fast that he didn't react to the hit until after the arrow hit the dirt 10 yds to the side of him. He ran into some thickets and expired less than 50 yds from where he was hit. Sadly I didn't record the shot as it was my first outing with the Arken (now DNT) Zulus V1. I used the Ozcut fixed 2 blade broadhead:

The hunt I was most excited about after harvesting my quarry, as odd as it may sound, was a double free-range goat hunt. I took two goats with my Daystate Wolverine .303 using 44gr pellets... free range, not a fenced hunt. Both were head shots, one at 50 yds and another at 70... dropped them like a sack of potatoes. Part of the fun is the tool one uses to hunt, and the Wolverine is just an accurate, elegant, beautiful airgun.

To help you understand why this was so exciting to me... I was 17 yrs old when I walked into my first archery pro shop, I locked eyes on these Spanish billies and javelinas they had mount on the wall. Yes, they had all sorts of other critters such as elk, bear, coyote, deer, hogs, etc. but those two species... just fascinated me. I committed to myself that one day I would harvest that quarry, well took about 20 yrs before I was able to attain that goal. So, some may get excited hunting elk, or deer... I prefer goats and rams:

Last but not least, my favorite quarry to hunt with an airgun are tree squirrels. I love walking through the forest with friends and/or family members looking for this small game species. For such hunts, I like classy or lightweight airguns like the American Air Arms Mini, Paradigm, or the Daystate Revere. I prefer having these guns tuned to use the Hades 15gr but my Paradigm REALLY likes 25gr pellets so she spits those out. Shots can vary from 10-60 yds, great ranges for pellets. I enjoy traveling to different states to hunt tree squirrels and have been able to harvest all legal tree squirrel species that I'm aware of. Here are some pictures:
