Nice! Do you know what twist it's coming with? I remember people saying it was supposed to be a slow twist 28" supplied with the world record series, but some folks were getting a 1:17? It could make for a decent slugger if that's the case?!
Heres hoping it is!! If it's just the 1:30 or 1:32 slow twist barrel it's useless, wont shoot slugs, wont fit in its OE case, and needs the supplied tensioner or else it'll suffer some poi shift, besides being longer n heavier...only benefit vs the reg 23in HP is you can lower reg pressure and get a few more SPF.
Yikes!! I think it's a bit scammy myself... for the odd gun it may very well help, but so could just hanging a weight off the barrel! The silencer with built in tuner thingy seems a better idea all-around if u needed it. I was happy Brk wasn't going the way FX was with a tensioner system and then they pulled this thing out of their hats
Ya for sure every barrel is different ! I had won a gift card from AoA thanks to Deadeyenc and thought I would try it out , but it is a lessened learned for sure . Always do a bit of research before you buy anything and I unfortunately did not lol .I still do love my ghost though !!Yikes!! Yup, da Ghost is good as “designed” no need for “FX” type of dodads…Yikes!! It's a 23" LW 1:17.7 twist with tension kit. Boxed it up this morning and will ship today. Tracking # will be sent this afternoon..........

Is it a custom barrel or new offering then?! To my knowledge that twist has never been offered yet in a .22 Ghost Hp?It is a factory barrel from Daystate/BRK. They sell the tension kits for both 28” & 23”. 1:17.7 is very common which is the same as the 2B 28” barrel that shoots slugs very good!Lol so it's not the world record series? Sweet! @Woogie_man led us astray
Got that same barrel twist in my S510, she just doesn't have the MOJO to send slugs fast enough. My most accurate rifle. Thanks for the info, glad they aren't sticking with just the slow twist option in the Ghost.

....what reg pressure was required to get a 30cal pellet going 1000fps!? Gert on his AimSmall channel on YT did hit the listed FPE (65) in .22 with his.....he had to dial it up to 190Bar!!...and he was shooting the 33.9gr Jsb beasts over 900fps I recall. My guess; with the 23in barrel you will probably be able to get a 25gr Jsb KnockOut @1000fps but not a 30gr+ slug? I'm hoping to get the 28inch and shoot 25 to 34gr slugs in the 900s (whatever is most accurate of course). I'm on pins and needles here with you

For reference for ya I'm shooting Mrds @975 on 165bar, (H.W. 15) for 55ish good shots. On max I hit 998fps with same pellets.Create an account or login to comment
