I’m seeing three manufacturers so far with new tank over barrel guns.

Yes I saw "tank over barrel " guns at Barra, JTS and Snowpeak. Maybe I have missed one or two more.

I wonder if there is a steel tube manufacturer in China that came up with a new development and then went around to the local airgun manufacturers selling them on the idea?

seams like it has some potential to save space and weigh.

Well don't you need gps , finger print ) facial recognition , and wifi with Googlerunning the show to monitor your location and activitie ? Stay tuned ..

Remember when I said that I like simple? Well, the overbarrel air cylinder isn't that at all. I just re-watched Giles Berry's video, from 5 years ago, working on the SPA M30, and it took 50 0-rings to get done. If the DRS system works out to be the same, I will probably skip it. I am definately going to want to see a full takedown video from sub12airgunners before I do anything. I hope FX found a way to do it better, because that is just ridiculous. Too bad, because all the stats on paper seem excellent.

@Pumacarl, though not claiming to know. Wouldn’t the pressure changes in the over barrel air cyclinder cause harmonic interference within the barrel? Definitely awaiting the long term results of this new trend.

With a real barrel I would doubt it, with a thin liner I have reservations too. I am not going to be an early adopter on this. I need to hear, read, and see, a whole lot more about this. It is very interesting, if nothing else.
