In this internet and cellular world we live in, instant responses have kind of become the norm. Even those of us in the middle-aged crowd have slipped into expecting almost real-time replies. It’s funny when you think about it — we’re the same generation that used to fill out handwritten order forms from the center of a Cabela’s catalog, stick a check in the envelope, mail it off, and then just… wait. Arrival was whenever it arrived.

So it made me wonder:

What do you personally expect from a manufacturer or retailer today when it comes to replying to a customer?

September 30 I ordered an adapter from Airgun Capital.
October 27 I emailed for an update.
I have still not received my order or received a response

RAW/AirForce email 12/4 @9am
Currently on hold to try and follow up with the email, they may have gone home for the weekend early 😂
This one has a 30 day refund policy through Pyramyd, so I’d like to make contact sooner than later.
Edit: call went through and I talked to Rachel, she was very helpful.

Pyramyd replied in under 1.5 hours of my inquiry with remedies, and said they will try and reach RAW/AirForce to help resolve and get answers.

Yeah, the airgun world needs to catch up with rest of retail. Very few answer, or ship within a hurry. I sent a question to BRK a month or so ago and got no answer. I bought my Beeman underlever in September 2024 and tried to contact their support and had to use their email form. Then I had a warranty question in the beginning of October this year before the warranty expired. Both times I received a confirmation email telling me that they would respond slowly due to the Covid 19 pandemic. They still haven’t responded to either enquiry, but then again they’re stuck in a time warp battling Covid. Needless to say, there won’t be any more Beemans arriving on my doorstep.

Wow, you got a confirmation email? You are doing better than me!

I would be highly upset with this one. I had been considering some equipment from them, but no longer think I will.

As to your originating question, by email I expect a reply within a week. By phone, then and there answers. Actual shipping, I can understand if there is lead time and delays (to an extent). I have even done pre-orders and mostly waited patiently for 9 months. Now it is back for warranty work for almost a month and not sure if/when I will see it again. 😔

For my Snowpeak stuff I bought from Krale, I didn't expect any support from Snowpeak or Krale. I knew what I was getting into. A guy from another forum waited I think over a year to get a new barrel from Krale for his P35. But in my mind it is a bargain rifle from far away retailer.

Now if it is a Snowpeak rifle marketed by a manufacture in the USA, I expect them to follow up. Umarex has been dodgy in the past with Notos inquires i have made. Their solution if it is under warranty is to ship it back and they send a brand new unit.

In the future if I want something snowpeak I will go with a Stoeger from Shop - Airgun Revisions
Rich the owner is a great guy.

well I have held out voicing my view but I will
one; I think a company should have someone answer the phone!

two; I dont not want to email you and give you my information so I can be spammed by yet anther spammer I dont need!

three; NO I dont want want to chat with you ignorant tick me off before I had had enough coffee AI NO I DO NOT want to!

four; I dont have a cell phone glued in my pocket so I want to speak with some when I call or she dual a return so I am not setting around by the phone for nothing to happen cause it aint goin to.

so for me, customer service short of calling the retailer is almost a thing of the past so far in the past most dont have a clue what it is to be offered GOOD customer service.
so for me I will only buy a product from a retailer I trust that offers me that service and will have be back if need and a few small hand full of manufactures that answer their phone. because it has gotten so bad that if I want something the first thing I do is call if I cant then their out if I go to your website and there is no number clearly posted and you want me to chat with your AI fairest well you do not deserve nor will you get one penny from me.

but thats me.

stop supporting bad behavior if you dont like it.

Nothing annoys me more than hearing that Covid speel...Covid 'ended' in 2023, let's move on shall we, and update our answering machines!?!?
Just getting back into airguns in 2023, and being blown away at what was out there for sale i emailed both AirArms and Brk inquiring about their guns....both responded within a day or two. I was happy with that and bought both their guns! Also....not sure why this last part is in bold lol...😒
By Email i expect an answer in a day or 2 generally.

I bought some QD Fox mags for the RAW, which I returned before using the mags. I reached out and got a quick reply. He's away from the office until tuesday, but he said there will be no issue exchanging them. Great service getting a reply even when he is away.

QD Fox is a great mag supplier to deal with. And you get two mags for the price of one. Have some Macavity, Barra, FX, and others for my rifles and all perform flawlessly!

100% opposite experience. Ordered 2 mags for the delta wolf. He carries two types. I ordered the ones that closely resemble the stock mags. One broke the first time I used it. Messaged him and his response acknowledged that that type is prone to that and the other type is much more robust. Finally that he would replace that bad mag on my NEXT ORDER. So I have to spend 40 more bucks to get his pile of crap mag replaced. Lol. Ahhh no. The other mag lasted maybe a half dozen uses and it broke. I wouldn’t give that guy a penny if he were the last mag maker on the earth. I would buy my own 3d printer and figure it out. He is correct the other style is better as I already had 2 in .25 caliber. I just wanted the ones that are like the stock daystate mags for my .30 figuring they weren’t junk but unfortunately they are. However I won’t do business with someone like that. Mostly decent mags for the money but he isn’t a good business guy.
Edit…to boot he is still selling the junk version on eBay.

Not sure. I had some fx wildcat mags from him. They were fine. A little tight fit at first but they broke in. The more squarish daystate mags are good too. Only problem I had was with the round daystate. There is a little plastic tab that holds the wheel in place under tension. When you insert the first pellet after winding it grabs the pellet so to speak and holds the wheel in place. Both of those sheared off very quickly rendering them useless. You will probably be fine.
