I picked up a used .22 Evol Mini last year and ordered a 10" SubMOA Superlight barrel for it. Took a while to get the barrel, but it's really good and doesn't lead up like the older TJ barrels did (at least for me).

Tuned for 18's @ 850fps. If I pushed the reg I could probably easily get 35fpe but it would be really loud. How much more fpe would you want out of the mini in a HPS version?

I don't think it could do it. My HPS Mini .30 is tuned to 70 fpe (800 fps w. 45gr pellets) and I get 1 mag plus 2-3 shots on reg.

Even with the HPS valving, trying to push a heavy slug would probably require more than a 10 or 12" barrel can provide.

you dont think it would push a 40g Altaros?
for what it's worth am want I think 1 mag is all I would care about?
or I guess you could detune it and shoot a crap load of pellets LOL

I can't say it's not possible, but I think that's asking a lot of it.

Yea only the most powerful 22’s can push a 40 to around 1000 fps and thats with a 700 mm barrel. 40 is a lot for 22 airguns

its that same receiver and vale as the .30 cal so if it pushes the .30 in 45g weight why would it not push a 40g in the .22?
I dont know but I would like play with one at some point in the future

Because a 22 can not have as large a transfer port as a 30 thats just 1 reason

It's just a numbers thing. How many air molecules are available to push on the surface area on the back of a .22 caliber, and how long does it take to cram them into that thin(compared to larger calibers) barrel, and push that projectile to speed? If you replaced your air supply with helium, you can do better, but pricey! I don't see people doing that so much anymore, but many have.
