Sonoran Random Thoughts On the BRK Sonoran

Wow, Great groups!!!!!
Thanks, it was a good day. Windy, but in the high 70’s. Definitely a lot of fun. My diy electric rest seems to help a lot, it’s rock solid and allows me to shoot more comfortably and consistent. At least that’s my story lol. I removed the pic rail and ARCA adapter today to try and allow the forearm to slide with the recoil.

Well it sure seems to be working very well, glad to see you doing so well with the Sonoran(y)

I guess I really need to find a gauge that fits now. Not to mention removing the stem.

Is there a story that goes along with this picture that could be told in language fit to print? I'd guess not, if it happened to me. That really sucks! I worry about that happening every time I put one of those on. At least your photo shows that my fears are justified.

I would try an easy-out bit. I don't see anything else that would do it w/o screwing something else up. Let us know how you get it, these are the situations and solutions, that make airgun forums invaluable. I'm sorry that it happened to you Bill, but I've got to admit, that if it was going to happen to anyone, I'm glad that it happened to someone who will figure it out. Good luck!

Well, it’s not really that exciting. I had degassed the rifle. I tried to fill it and as soon as I heard the valve open, it would go no further and I could hear a faint hissing from the regulator gauge. Loosening the gauge is the proscribed method of degassing and so I figured the gauge just needed to be tightened. I gave it a turn and it went loose instead of tighter. I removed it with no issues and reinstalled it. It was still leaking, I made another turn and it sheared off. I wish I could put digital gauges on it, but there’s not enough room. As you can see from the photo the fill gauge reads 100 bar when it’s empty. I’m not a lie I, I told Elaine that I was tempted to invent an elaborate story, but I knew you guys wouldn’t buy it lol.

Bill is got a huma gauge from utah airguns 23 mm goes to 300 bar with markings every 10 bar
I will check them out. I was going to order direct from Huma. I guess I’ll need to figure out the Dowty washer/ seal. Thanks NVM they’re back ordered at Utah Airguns. I’m going to be forced to jump off the pot and buy a new Airgun.
