Anyone else have an issues with your magazine on the 45 short version? The magazine is like 457458 everything rattles and when you’re loading the gun you get jams all the time I now find myself going out hunting and every time I wanna shoot I make sure I tilt the gun up so they have backs down so I don’t get a jam. I’m contemplating on painting the inside of the magazine with nail polish or putting something in there to keep these pills still, and then I’m afraid I might be pushing for an objects into that barrel. Hopefully AOA see this and get this resolved other than that this gun is a beast and very fun to shoot.

Adding to your post, I own a ,30 & .357 Rattler. my ,30 cal shoots .301 ( snug ) in my mag. My .357 likes .357 snug. Makes u wonder, am I sizing slugs to the mag or Barrelll? If I put .30 in my Rattler, It sure does Rattle!!!!! I hope others will chime in. This is what I get for spending a premium ? Fixed mags should be true to what cal u r shooting. Every 1 Knows the mag has a taper , but lets get serious now

@Auto1191 If the projectiles are loose your sizing to the mag to prevent jams. This really shouldn’t be so thing that one deals with when purchasing top tier priced airguns, but it happens.

@Mvideira Thankfully my Rattler in .357 doesn’t have this issue. I have experienced this issue with a Huben. You can try knurling your slugs so that they fit more securely within the magazine chambers. You may also want to consider trying powder coating them.

The issue that I do face is that some of my slugs become dislodged from the grooves in the mag after a shot. That cause minor jams in my Rattler. The largest issue is that the magazine doesn’t always advance to the next chamber on its own and the base of some slugs get marred in the process of the mag trying to advance. I get a dry fire when I try to shoot the next shot sometimes. I think reaching out to Western Airguns is a good start if you are the original owner and bought your Rattler new. With warranty work, I assume that they ask you pay shipping at least one way. You also have to consider damage in transit, so pack your gun well and I sure it when shipping. If it’s not under warranty I hope you know how to work on air rifles…

@Mvideira. Did you get this issue resolved under warranty with a service center?
Yes, I sent the rifle because I had a jam not sure what they did, but the gun is perfect ow. . I’m using 456 which fit perfect and the most accurate. I get my ammo from Neil from Custom Lead solutions and I’m using the 232 grain 456. This is a short version with a submoa barrel.

@Mvideira How do you order slugs from Neil?
