Others Young Boy on my Atomic XR…

II first saw this young man handling a Daisy lever action BB gun a month ago. His handling of that Daisy had me wanting to put the Atomic XR in his hands. Though we were a little overwhelmed today at Junior Sportsmens shoot night. I was able to let him try 20 shots… Targets at 15 yards, UTG red dot, sending CPHPs… The kid is a natural, next time I will let him punish a slew of cans at the same distance. Its all about the “next generation” for me… Definitely a good evening…

Red dots seem to work well with younger shooters. Many don’t have the reach to really get behind a rifle and see through the optic. Without dealing with the eye relief the red dot makes it easier.

It was the main reason I went with a red dot on this gun. Young person sees dot, puts dot on target and sends, very intuitive for new shooters… Am planning on putting this Atomic XR in the hands of many young ones…

@coolsound Agreed, but the distinction should be made here - the BRK Atomic is NOT a firearm. It's an airgun. I'm not sure if the instruction at this specific club is centered upon firearm instruction for youth. That's something that @Luis Leon would have to elaborate on.

We start them off with Daisy BB guns and as they show progress and proficiency we move them up to .22 rimfires… Heavily dependent on the individual kid.

They are… all the same rules apply whether firearms or airguns.

1. All guns are treated as if loaded.

2. Never point a gun at what you don’t intend to destroy.

3. Beware of your target and “what’s” behind and beyond it.

it just the right size for adults also but then again I realy dont care for loooooooong guns : )
15'' barrel is all I want to that around ( understanding I am not talking about bench : ) )

Now you have a very valid reason to acquire an Atomic… It’s a sweet PCP to introduce generation “next” to the joy of the shooting sports…
