Alpha/Delta Wolf Has Daystate fixed the barrel issues with the Alpha/Delta Wolf? Are they worth buying?

My experience was that things would show promise at 50 yards but groups would be a little bigger than desired and there would be more “fliers” than one would expect. When you then pushed that out to 100 things just all fell apart.

Ok still hope for mine. It is sub moa with 25 gr at 50. The 33.95 were about .75-.80 groups. That was probably me. Lot easier to make a clean shot at 43 ft/lbs than 62 ft/lbs.

I didn't hop on the band wagon for the original Delta Wolf, but I did buy an Alpha Wolf shortly after they were released. I followed along the upgrade path with firmware and installed an Ultra Valve when they became available. I really did like everything about the airgun except for the barrels. I had gotten a .177 barrel with the rifle which was very accurate. But I wanted to multi-use the Alpha so I also got .25 and .30 23" barrel setups. I can't tell you how bad these barrels were. The .25 wouldn't stay on a sheet of letter size paper at 100 yards and the .30 was about 6-8" groups at 100.

I had a friend who purchased a .30 Ghost and also had terrible accuracy issues with the 23" barrel.

I know there are those who shoot these in competition, so there are good barrels out there. But how do I know I'm getting a good barrel. For $3500 and a claim of getting an ART barrel, the ones I got in the past looked someone dragged a tool through it. ART my rear-end.

So do I stick with my Red Wolves or is the Delta Wolf Performance worth another look.
Don't feel bad when I got my Red wolf it was having accuracy issues also ....I had a old Pulsar that the mother went south took the barrel off put it on the Red wolf and man !!!! It's a tack driver with JTS pellets....loves them all...the barrel is a little longer and very quiet no need for a mod...

I've seen this myself. The older barrels from LW on Daystates/BRKs, are just better, in general, than what we've seen lately!

I've been digging through photos as I know I did borescope the .25 barrel. I will post those if I can find them, but here is a kinda poor quality picture of the muzzle end of the .30 barrel. That mark that looks like a crunch on the land - is tooling marks on the land.

I just received a .22 cal 28” pellet barrel from AOA for my Ghost and it’s now a scatter gun. 4” groups at 30y. Still experimenting but not real confident I am going to find the right combination. It looks like LW is still producing some lemons!

Ouch!!!...any idea of the speeds there flying out at?

I’ve tried anywhere between mid 800’s to1000 fps. Also tried a blue and yellow spring in those ranges at about 5 fps jumps. Going to try the red spring next. If no luck it’s going back

Your using Mrds to test? I'd imagine even the Brk slug barrel will shoot pellets a heck of a lot better than 4inches @ 30Y! Drives me absolutely crazy they dont test accuracy before shipping an (expensive!) barrel across the pond.
I'd also try pushing a pellet through barrel by hand and see how it looks afterwards.

I have 3 Daystates a 22 Redwolf a 25 Alpha and a 30 Safari.
The 25 Alpha is super accurate but only with the 33.95 JSBs a few other pellets are good but not brilliant.
The 30 cal Safari is very good with pellets and slugs a great gun that Just's works.
The 22 Redwolf well I hate that barrel its inconsistent it's like it has mood swings reminds me of the old 22 HW100 barrel back in the day.
I want to put a FX barrel liner system on the Redwolf I know it has been done has anyone else here done it?

My 22 barrel on the ghost went inconsistent i ran my bore scope in barrel looked good till i got to the choke lots of lead. Cleaned barrel with a brush and gunzilla and polished the shit out of the choke. Got 1st in a high power field target match today with it.
Glad you were able to sort it out.

The .25 slug barrel shoots marvelously the JSB KO slugs 33.4gr and the ZAN 40gr.

Does the barrel interchange between the Ghost and the Delta Wolf? Curious as I have both platforms.

Yep.... seems to be "a thing" factory is factory meaning it doesn't get the attention a true competition barrel needs or deserves so a factory barrel to me is a lottery to get a good one.
But take that same factory barrel and Clean, polish lap, debur, do a sage rub with holy oil from an ancient red dragon bung and... yep.. it can shoot.
I pretty much figure you gotta go the extra mile and or pay the extra coin to get THE BEST performance out of a factory anything. Wish it wasn't so, but it is what it is.
