Great, 20 shot minimum groups going forward. 😂

No, I get it. Small groups lack enough data to show what the gun and shooter are definitively capable of.

I guess I should buy more pellets, like I need an excuse 😁.

Firearm ammunition, the "fire" part creates heat, and super pressures, that has all kinds of cumulative effects that we simply don't have with airguns. If you want to take your firearm to the range and shoot like these guys do, then that video will help you. And high shot groups are only pertinent to high shot shooters. If you are a match shooter, even with airguns, then shoot groups equal to shots required for the card, you will be shooting that much on match day. If I go out with an ultralight mountain rifle, chances are I am never going to fire more than three shots at a time. This whole subject is like buying tires for your minivan and then going to the race track to try them out, -why? It's not designed to be on a race track in the first place. If we all stay in our own lanes, we'll be fine.

How many shots do targeted pest or game allow? One, maybe two… Paper? Unlimited amount of shots to get you there… For me? I personally don’t give a hoot how many shots I can cluster at any particular distance. If I don’t connect while plinking, after three shots? I simply move along… If I keep missing at known subsequent distances? I may be having an off day. Then I go find something else to do…

I'm just giving food for thought. I was interested in the math and numbers.
Not something I see myself doing. As mostly a pest shooter now, it has no impact on my day to day.
But when talking precision shooting, it really humbles what people are doing when they claim if something is sub moa.
Me, i don't care about other peoples rifles, I just need mine to work how I expect it,

Respectfully Luis, I think you’re missing the point of the discussion in the video. More data points are better than less.

Take hunting for instance, more information about your prey is better than less, right?

A clearer understanding of yourself and your Airgun is obtained by a large enough sample size of data.

@Pumacarl that’s a terrible analogy with the mini van situation. I think if you did a little research, you would find that many things have been learned from racing cars that trickle down to even a minivan. Performance and safety wise. (It’s baked in)

There is always more to learn, and sometimes seeing things from a different point of view is a tremendous opportunity.

So 20 -3 shot groups are less data then just 60 shots?

I guess I can understand fatigue after so many shots cause I suffer that and / or I tend to get hold lazy ..

Disagree, what's been baked into me is stay off of race tracks with minivans. It doesn't matter that they have improved because of racing, they are still out of place.

Says the guy who enjoys modifying “value”Airguns, probably get your rocks off when it out performs higher end ones.

So yeah, I firmly believe you enjoy taking a minivan to the racetrack 😜.

Though I have noticed that you have an aversion towards anything pb and Airguns in the same sentence almost.

Nothing really wrong with either one of those things just pointing out biases and everyone has them.

If the data they are discussing in the video holds true, then the 3,5 and even a 10 shot group!, that concept as a complete measurement of accuracy will be severely diminished.

I know I do, when you can out of the box it's even better.
😉
