Will finally found something new to play with..... and it's is a 30 cal HP Ghost! Planning on getting a 22 barrel for the gun to make use of my swaging press.

Now comes the fun of putting things together and ready for fun. Any advice or ideas for parts of accessories?

Id definitely get the hammer spring kit cause you seem to like to experiment. On my 25 cal i use the small 0 db and it seems to work well enough i also change the grip and butt pad, just personal preference, but other than that you really don’t need much perhaps an arca rail but thats all i got off the top of my head

I agree with Solo1 on the grip swap! I got the Fab defense Israel made one. No going back!! Anything with rubber is better that the stock one. 30cal with the interests me big time, avoid the stock .22 barrel if wanting to push slugs. Big fat no go. Wait till Sub Moa have a barrel for it and get that. In my opinion it has excellent power to send up to 34gr slugs fast enough with zero mods and a 28in slug barrel. Keep us updated, did you get it new or used?

Found a used rifle, but hardly used. Though sadly I gave up one of my other rifles. But the stable needed to be changed.

I hear ya, there's only so much time in our day...lives to shoot lol! I am pretty content with 4 and struggle to shoot them as much as I'd like. Ghost is a great platform, mine isn't quite set up to my liking yet but someday!

I have been talking with AOA about a 22 barrel kit, as well as Sub MOA about a barrel as well. I am thinking I may shoot the gun as is for now in the 30 version....and when the 22 barrel is avaliable I will grab one for my slugs.


If I do go the way of the SubMOA barrel I will need a probe. Is there anywhere you guys know of that sell just the probe?

Thats what i would do cause if it shoots slugs it will probably shoot pellets fairly well too only problem is you might wait till next year to get a ghost submoa slug barrel. Im on a list since like june.

Good plan! Heres likely what happens if u get a factory 24" .22 barrel: 1 you detune heavily and shoot lighter pellets, and get good accuracy & SPF () or 2: you shoot MRDs quick and get power and Mrds accuracy...5 or 6 real good and then 1 will bail from the group, (also ) I am currently running the "new" deep versions through it and not really any better or worse?! I will try a tin of the JSB grands as well some day.

Well looks like tracking is showing the rifle being delivered tomorrow.

Of course will get pictures up and will see what I am going to do with the rifle. I do have some vinyl wrap here at the house that I may put on the rifle to make it "stand out" a little bit. My wife is already making fun of me because of the rifle. When I was younger I would wait for the last minute for a halloween costume that I would just go as a ghost. I think it was like 6 years I was a charlie brown ghost...... and now I will be shooting a ghost as well

Of course I would like to shoot as far as possible and as accurate as possible. But it would be fun to also have a fun compact truck gun as well. So possible a mid length barrel and go from there.

just remember you need a+ shroud if keeping the 480 bottle or the bottle will be longer than barrel

That is what I was going to check on before I bought anything. Obviously planning on taming the bark of the rifle, so need to make sure the attachments will clear the bottle

Oh it adds up fast! I'm more of a buy one thing at a time and slowly get it built the way I want (mostly bc no one has stock on anything ever)

Yup the factory grip is that bad! Should be quite an improvement hopefully, what pellets u gonna fling outta that sweet .30cal? It's been said the .30 can shoot slugs (heard it twice now) if u ever want to test this... let us know, thanks.

Have been only shooting like 10 yards with the random pellets I have. Really playing until I can get a 22 barrel.

But will try this weekend to atleast get a zero and see what the rifle can do. I guess Derek Wall had the gun, and did a full tune on it. Though there is no paperwork with it, so can't say one way or the other.

Who knows maybe he did some magic on the trigger! I believe @Pesty3782 (and probably others) have sung his praises on his work to the trigger units. Mine is good enough so no complaints on that! 10Y with a .30 cal...no comment Michigan Airgunner had a good video on some hunting with a .30cal and I remember he was saying his was great with slugs....do you know the twist rate on the .30 Brk barrel?
