Ghost Atomic, Ghost and Pathfinder XRs…

I had a sweet, nighttime plinking session with my Atomic. Followed by a sweet session the next day with my Pathfinder XR. Which prompted this post… When I first received my Ghost Carbine, for a while it felt like the Pathfinder was in jeopardy. After downsizing the scope on the Pathfinder the Ghost has made me appreciate the Pathfinder more. And by the same token my Pathfinder makes me appreciate my Atomics all the more for their small, outsized utility. A simple HPA hand pump and off you go… The Ghost being the latest is still fairly new to me, and am trying to figure out where “it” fits in the stable. That it is a PCP amendable to many different, efficient and effective iterations is a given. Its been proven in competition and in the field by many others… For me, I have found that “less is more” in my pesting and plinking endeavors. As for the Ghosts’ role? TBD…

@Solo1 nailed it Seeing your collection of fine compact brks and then you buying the Ghost carbine, yet another 'compact' gun made me scratch my head a little....It's my beast mode air gun. Coons, skunks, etc ain't safe, 100yards away small birds ain't safe, rimfires ain't safe, she slings big lead fast! When I heard you went for the I figured you'd go HP all the way. To redeem yourself I figure u might as well go full bore and order a .30cal barrel and turn it into a monster. Or get a Sub moa barrel, or wait for a slug barrel...so many options

Was shooting side by side at 50 yards at the range with a .22 rimfire shooter. I didn’t show him my groups as not to embarrass him…

Interested in how they shoot!! My all time favorite slug.....honestly the carbine .22 may do just fine with em as it has the 1:17.7 twist L.W. barrel i believe, same as my S510. What grain weight did you get?

Nice, I had great luck with the .217 &.218 in 21 and 23 grain, but can only push em 800-840 in the S510, your Ghost definitely can get em faster. 40Y on starlings and other pest birds delivers a very nice pop, louder than the gun.

Abrasions and lacerations, but otherwise intact… Afterwards drove the bicyclist and his bicycle to New Paltz where his vehicle was. He refused more medical attention and is a doctor who was going to be further evaluated by his colleague… That said afterwards I sented some .22 Hades out of my Pathfinder, the initial results look promising…

@Luis Leon - I went the other way with my Ghost. I came in HP with a 23" .30 barrel. It always contends with what I'm going to use at the next NRL50 competition! I made a trade for a BRK Sonoran and it came with a 28" Ghost barrel that I haven't put on yet! Now that I have the Sonoran, I'll put the longer .22 barrel on the Ghost and see how quick it can "go to town"
