I like simple platforms

Same here, looks like something the Starship Troopers would use battling alien invaders…
But I’m sure they shoot great because a lot of shooters were shooting the gun at RMAC from what I saw in the videos. To each their own I guess. Everyone likes different things that’s what makes this world interesting

its not about rather they are dependible or not, its about working on them or oding them or what have you.
i just have not love for electronics in a gun.
I have some airguns that are 45 to 60 years old and still work perfect. I can’t see electronics lasting that long. I’m not against electronics. I’m an electronics technician. I just don’t want them on any of my guns. Just my preference.

I'm an electronics technician, too. I prefer my guns to be simple because I spend enough time looking at schematics at work. I'll keep my batteries in my flashlights.

I second what is being said! Aerial equipment mechanic and I work on the big stuff. 80 to 180ft. Some brands run circuit boards with the electrical tape strand wires. Well this past week has been wet. And I've been out there with the junk fixing it. It drives, then it doesn't. It starts than it doesn't. And guess what it always is? Sure electronic guns can be sweet (absolutely not for me🤢) and quick to tune. But I would literally lose my mind having some free time to shoot, grabbing it annddd batteries are dead. The push is on for battery driven cars now too. Everytime weather is extreme...."don't be charging your cars folks". Yeah I need my guns to work! I imagined a home invasion scenario with the skout epoch. Had a good laugh😜🤣 "powering on... Firing mode"...

Believe it or not the RW Safari I have has been one of the most reliable guns I own. This rifle has been left out in freezing rain and snow, used in temperatures above 112° with zero problems or change in poi. Making excuses as to why something couldn't be better than what we currently own is completely natural. Lol For awhile it wasn't electronics that bothered me, it was the fact that the majority of HP airguns were needing extremely long barrels to achieve power. Id rather carry a short electronic gun than a broomstick length mechanical gun any day. Are electronic gun better? No they aren't, just a different way of achieving desired performance.

The PP700SA, the poor man’s original Leishy, is a great simple platform. A handful of tools can break it down and tune it quickly. It has never failed no matter how long it sits in a bench under my office sniping window.
Is this awesome rifle made by Snowpeak? I bet it's a blast to shoot! Literally, lol.

Agreed Mike, different strokes for different folks is an old saying my late father used to say! There are so many different new guns from shot show I want but will have to see all the reviews on youtube to hear the good, bad, and the ugly about the products before making a final decision. Of course by then all vendors will be out of stock on the item when it gets to that point.

Bro it's Daystate of course it's good 😁. Simply put it  IS another thing to go wrong though and there's the added hassle of batteries and charging on top. I get my guns, chrono, some stuff, set it all up and I'm 15 minutes into my blessed shooting time. Or a squirrel army starts digging up my lawn and I grab a gun and go. In the world of electronics it is of course very well made (and the price reflects that). Its just not for everybody. I've seen bad reviews I've seen good reviews of them. I once said here electronic guns are not the way of the future.... they are one (successful) path yes but not "the way" for many folks. I can also rattle off the names of 5 compact-ish (under 40 inch) guns that  BRING it without electronics.

Yeah, snowpeak under the Artemis name. If you don’t have a total infestation and need quick follow up, it’s a great pest carbine
I love my BRKs, but my single shot Artemis pp700sa was a rat and starling killing machine for me. Never a hiccup or problem, she just spitted out death to vermin. I regret to this day letting it go… A super solid little gun.

Oh no you sold yours too? I sold mine years ago but should’ve kept it. I had the folding stock too. It was truly a poor man’s leishy

It’s not too late! Get another one! Wes can probably get them also. I bought one of his 25 cal versions, it’s under repair currently.
I my original as a 22 from Krale. Then I bought a 177 barrel from Wes and that is currently installed.
Did you guys do any work to yours? I drilled and tapped the extra stock support screws for mine, it really firms them up. I am probably going to drill and tap a grub screw to prevent the barrel from rotating. I also have a Huma reg in one and Altros in the other. They might be cheap Chinese guns, but I’ll never part with them.

I’ll probably order another since my failed work to the 25 cal might be irreversible.
