Does anyone have any experience with the new 711mm barrels BRK is now offering? I have decided to make my ghost a 22 and give it a shot at N50 benchrest in the pellet class. I see fady has been using this barrel and dominating with it so it must have a proper twist for pellets..thanks

Deep down I think they enjoy torturing us mortals who await slug barrels. 😅😭... Very cool barrel to have though! I wonder would the longer barrel fit in the original case for the reg length HP version? If anybody would know, thanks!

Its about 111mm longer then the hp barrel so probably wont fit.

Please tell on source of 711mm/28" barrels. BRK is making them but AOA has them for the Delta/Alpha but not for Ghosts. Well except for the World Record edition, but hopefully Daystate/BRK will start supporting better with more barrels (711mm/28"), hammer spring kits, and other accessories.
I have a Delta Wolf 711mm/28" in 25cal that I will use on a Ghost World Rcd. Ed. in 22cal so 22cal and 25cal... see what shoots best and hopefully have a 711mm/28" in 30cal kit will be available. The Ghost World Rcd. Ed. should be here early part next week but weather maybe in the 20-15 degrees F. :(

Im for sure i want to go 22 with my ghost and i can order a HP barrel kit and have it now. But wondering if the 711.m is worth the wait? Do you know the twist rate of the 711mm 22 barrel?

The HP and 711mm barrels are slow twist rates. I am not sure with the 22cal but 1:30-32 might be the twist rate... slow/pellet friendly. Until slug barrels come out which is unknown the choice is limited. The barrel twist in 17" barrels I think is faster but all twist rates daystate/brk are not so transparent.

What up with your .30cal situation Northeastbeast? You would just get a .22 barrel for it, as the .30 isn't shooting straight? Personally I'd go .22 as well 👍 If competition and more shots per fill is in the plan I'd go for the longer barrel. If hunting/plinking I'd go with the standard barrel. And then hold out for slug barrel which hopefully will be 711 mm or their abouts and not some 800mm monster.

He actually is the .177 King! When you are Restricted to one caliber you must shoot it well. We are allowed any caliber as long as it's under 495fps.... Which is almost useless, and makes sub12 specs look OK actually (in .177 anyways😆). Thanks for the info Soren, Keep it coming. 👍
I love his content been following him on all platforms for some time now. He makes 177 a viable choice in any weather

@Soren Drost, I absolutely love the small caliber joy. Seems it's all about larger bores and more and more power in the industry these days. So YES, please keep sharing content so guys are made aware that airguns are meant to be airguns.

(Airguns @ the fpe level of firearms does nothing for me...if I want to shoot a firearm, I'll shoot a firearm).

Hey Soren that slug barrel you are testing is shooting well for you, I have seen your groups! My question is: does it group pellets well too? My biggest issue about the big calibers is feeding the beasts the air they need! .22 is my all time favorite. Pellet selection in .177 and .22 is king as well. I personally am truly addicted to airguns and own zero firearms currently. If anything needs to be shot it will be done with air power. And I agree small calibers are king 100% Biggest I want to own would be a ghost in .30cal I watch Franklink's .20 progress with great interest as well. I feel if .177 slugs continue to take off .20 will get another nail in the coffin though.

Iv’e had a 22 hp barrel for a few weeks now and it shoots very well at 50 with mrds shoots decent sometimes at 100 too but every once in a while 1 really doesn't like company! Lol

Excellent to hear! So you have the longer barrel as well or you talking about the standard 23 in HP barrel Solo1? Them mrds open up quite a bit for you @ 100y or more like the odd flier kills your groups? Heres hoping the new JSB heavy pellet offerings are more consistent🙏
